Might also be worth keeping in mind that Pru, pre de-merger, got down
to around £12.87 over the summer.

So if you take £2 from that figure for MNG, that gets you to approx £11
and that £11 was before to an equity bear market.

Just for some context. But Please DYOR!. And you are welcome.

One trade for me today here, reducing my holding cost by 11 pence a share.

pineapple, I can't answer your question, or you may have just been thinking aloud?,
but would hope Mr Loeb conducted detailed work before taking a stake.

Posted a link to the letter Third Point sent to the PRU BOD - Best of luck, whatever your view.

No; its just that this is a stock which is easy for people to sell and there is indiscriminate selling of stocks at present.

hmmm.....up 10% on open and now turned red. Is something rather nasty hiding here.

This market decline has been frighteningly quick.

Hi EIForemost I wish you good health I bought a few at the beginning of the week thinking it was a good price ;)I'm beginning to think I might set my account with a few silly buy limits in small amounts in stocks like this and stop looking at the markets and get on with day to day life looking after loved ones ...more than anything to protect my mental health as much as financial.. I am down about 10% on the year but could cover half of that with last years unspent profit ..least I work out in the open ..but fear for those with jobs in the travel industry etc

Right, that was dry!.

From my notes fwiw ...$200 million annual interest savings on the debt passed to MNG, $170 million annual cost saving on operational costs post de-merger to come.

PRU stress they like counter cyclical investment, they've done this in the past,
re current headwinds.

PRU BOD clearly taking Third Point seriously, as the presentation appeared
to a answer the Third Point letter directly - all imv only, as always.. etc.

On the face of it and all things considered they don't look to bad to me, just think what the share price would have been if Con 19 had not arrived on the world scene.

Results look OKisk on a very quick scan, referencing slowing sales growth re the
virus in HK and China. Not sure how the market will react.
