09/2/2018 08:03 | LBO re: article The Bill aims to stop the issuing of any NEW licences for the EXPLORATION of fossil fuels. In July last year, Providence had their licence extended to July 2019 for the first phase on BROE (see link below). They also currently hold many other PEL's and also 2 Lease Undertakings - Dunmore & Helvick (see link below) I would suggest that if (and it's a big if) the Bill were to be passed into Law, these current Licences will be worth more, which can only be positive for PVR. | stockriser

06/2/2018 22:24 | Steel/GD - tks for the advice re: the antivirus software, stuck with current one until Dec. Nice to see the Dow Jones bounce back strongly - a weak moment in the market - some very positive news tomorrow would not go amiss. GL SR | stockriser
06/2/2018 19:12 | A bit calmer on markets today. Dow had got very frothy and when it wobbled it was bigger a wobble than even the greatest bear expected. | hermana3
06/2/2018 13:21 | Steel, Re # 5449. You are a wise man on security issues. I am not getting into any bunker for now Amigo. Take care, GD | greatfull dead
06/2/2018 13:17 | Stockraiser, Totally off topic. I used Kaspersky for several year before changing to AVG. I found AVG to be very good but on my last renewal date I decided to go for BitDefender Total Security 2018 edition but only the one available on line not the CD version. It is very cheap and can be used on 5 devices. So far I have found it to be superior to Kaspersky and AVG. The only problem is getting phone support. I have now overcome that with online chat and email. My next Internet Security will be BullGuard. More totally off topic. hxxp://world.einnews ATB, GD | greatfull dead
06/2/2018 13:14 | Stocks - the green tick is peculiar to Bullguard which is my security suite. Decided against using any Ruski software. | steelwatch
06/2/2018 12:59 | You're like the TV repairman Steel - It's working now OK ! | 1cagney
06/2/2018 12:58 | Steel - that showed up on my computer in Dec (same LOGP) and disappeared within a few days. I use Kaspersky, it is not showing a green tick, and is currently indicating that it is an unknown website. | stockriser
06/2/2018 12:53 | Gd - t'is hunker in de bunker time once more 8~( | steelwatch
06/2/2018 12:51 | 1cag - seems to be working OK, but note this screenshot: The green tick is generated by my security, so it seems to indicate OK, but google is wary for some reason. | steelwatch
06/2/2018 12:40 | Steel, I appreciate your feed back. I am not concerned for now and will not be selling anything in my portfolio unless the free ride top slice comes into play with any stocks I hold. I very much doubt that will happen in the near term. Take care Amigo, GD | greatfull dead
06/2/2018 12:28 | Lansdowne website is down. Does anyone go into the office anymore? | 1cagney
06/2/2018 11:42 | Gd - from your link, fwiw: Analysts say that in the short term, investors should be prepared for choppier stock markets, but doubt whether there will be a prolonged period of selling. Jane Sydenham, investment director at the stockbrokers Rathbones, said the recent moves were a "correction" rather than a crash. "What we have to remember is stock markets have had a very smooth ride upwards and we've not had a fall of more than 3% for 15 months. There's been a real lack of volatility, which is very unusual." She added that bear markets tend to happen ahead of a recession and at the moment growth forecasts were being upgraded. Erin Gibbs, portfolio manager for S&P Global Market Intelligence, said: "This isn't a collapse of the economy. "This is concern that the economy is actually doing much better than expected and so we need to re-evaluate." And analyst Laith Khalaf, of Hargreaves Lansdown, pointed out that, despite the heavy falls on Wall Street, the benchmark Dow Jones share index is still 20% up on where it stood this time last year. | steelwatch
06/2/2018 10:32 | Is it just a blip or doom an gloom again. I have no idea on where the markets are going...... GLA, GD | greatfull dead

05/2/2018 17:55 | I'm gettin bored here again. Why are we not gettin an update? Is this deal ever going to get over the line or what? Been 7 years now and I'll be six foot under before too long. Was hopin to see some return in the form of clawing back maybe 20% of the money I've lost down the years. Get on with this and quickly please. | funtimejonny |
