02/11/2017 11:05 | FTJ,At $60 spot price the marginal fields look a bit more attractive. The income sure would be handy. The PVR boys have recovered from the traumatic drills of Summer and full of confidence for Barryroe in the short run and Spanish Point,Avalon and Newgrange in the next 2 years. The International Companies were fierce impressed with all the seismic work done in Irish Seas and the considerable support from PAD,The Universities and new Minister. Lots of people believe in the potential but as Hugh MacKay pointed out there needs to be at least a dozen drills in next 3 years. Providence is committed to Barryroe and Newgrange at this stage with no mention of anything else being drilled in the near future. Makes sense to move slowly until someone else is getting the tab. | hermana3
02/11/2017 10:55 | Hmm.i would have expected an update on the phased work program by now. The agreement runs out on 28 Feb 2018. | funtimejonny
02/11/2017 10:47 | FTJ. Nov2013 was original agreement with ABT ( now Marginal Field Dev' co ltd) but it wss subject to PVR and partner applying to the Gov to issue separate licenses for the two discoveries, Helvick and Dunmore. It of course also required Gov approval for the farm in itself. The farm in was also subject to a phased work programme which no doubt has been progressed to the point of the 2016 and todays announcements. I was just being a bit glib. | isef0001
02/11/2017 09:31 | Are you sure? I recall an rns in March 2016. | funtimejonny
02/11/2017 08:55 | Well that farm in didn't take very long. First agreed with ABT in Nov of 2013. Ha Ha! | isef0001
01/11/2017 20:29 | GD,You are smelling the coffee there alright! Steel, TOR and JOS were in the audience playing with their I-Phone 10's while Myles Watson and Keith Byrne traded de boards. Byrne was very confident on Newgrange and says lessons have been learnt from the 2017 drills. Says Newgrange could form part of a multiwall campaign for 2019 with other players in the industry. Huge Hugh of Europa still maintains there will be up to a dozen wells before end of decade.... | hermana3

01/11/2017 15:47 | I sure did,Steel. Was very impressive too. Lots of stuff about fan analysis. Seems like PVR are going to fire ahead on Newgrange with the 2D seismics. PVR lad said to acquire 3D could cost as much as drilling it. | hermana3
01/11/2017 15:32 | herm - don't suppose you sat in on Serica's contribution? | steelwatch
