Wee piece in Indo today on Vermilion Energy being happy with their participation in The Corrib project. A company in expansion mode for sure. Must be running the ruler over Irish Sea assets of PVR and others.

Well if all their assets came in they could be worth £10B. What's that 1600p share price?

Steel,A mid cap would suffice for Barryroe but a Big Beast will be needed for Druid/Drombeg. Better day on market today after a soft one last week. Something is going to break this week and my money is on Druid/Drombeg to deliver first.

Herm & Steel,

Yes, never say never.

I do get you point re a major would be needed for both major projects. Though as so rightly Steel so rightly put it "Development may be a different matter of course...". Once proven that would need a major to take the project to fruition.

The Angus Mc Coss appointment brings a potential future CEO into the tent. If TOR don't get the finger out pronto he will see the iron fist of Pat Plunkett. Plunkett was a former Corporate Finance chief(and a friend of the Institutions) and has a demanding side to him. Tone will know this and he has to perform very soon.

Herm,

Could our ex Tullow non executive directors be lining up Tullow as another farm in partner for Druid/Drombeg?

HUR have 550M barrels and are valued at £650M, surely that makes PVR undervalued on BR alone?

Zh, Today is first sign of Plunkett making his mark here. Wont be his last for sure. Will be refreshing to have a Chairman at the AGM next Wednesday who knows what he is talking about. The Board is seriously strengthened now with majority of Board holding decades of industry experience. Former Chairmen Mc Carthy and Hillery had no working experience in the sector but knew how to run a meeting.

Herm I don't think PVR ever got any credit for bringing in Plunkett either. As this old piece from the Indy states he is a star player:

Plunkett was a lynchpin figure at €10bn market cap explorer Tullow for over a decade. Along with chief executive Aidan Heavey, Plunkett was instrumental in turning Tullow from a small North Sea oil producer into the largest owner of exploration acreage in Africa. Tullow's share price soared, with the company often touted as a potential takeover target for major Chinese oil firms such as Cnooc.

PF,He is bound to have plenty of options probably at 45c(like the rest of the Board). A dip into the market by him would be very helpful for sentiment around here. Mc Coss and Heavey have a huge following at Tullow Oil and are considered genuine rockstars in the Oil and Gas sector.
