John O’Sullivan, Providence’s technical director, said: “The Druid prospect looks particularly attractive, given its size, resource density, shallow depth, modeled high porosities, normal pressures, and beautifully imaged Class II AVO anomaly. The underlying Drombeg prospect adds further significant resource potential that is also AVO supported and which could be accessed with the deepening of a Druid exploration well.”


Karin Hoeing, UKG GeoMarket manager, Schlumberger, added: “We have studied both the Druid and Drombeg prospects using our latest state-of-the-art analytical subsurface tools and confirmed that both prospects demonstrate the attributes that are consistent with the presence of large, light oil accumulations in porous sandstone reservoirs.”

While we're waiting!

In the southern town of Cork, excitement got around,

With contracts let for drilling, choppers, tugs and staff,

Herm: the "fake news" comes from an Irish Times report dated yesterday which quoted a letter dated 14th March from a Bahamas Liquidator lodged with a U.S. court - a very serious matter if untrue.

Steel,Another step in right direction for Celtic Sea marginal fields. Project Finance has been sorted so hopefully we will hear more on a timeline in the near future.
Big Hugh at EOG is very ebullient on his new licences. share price is reacting well too....

Sorry got mixed up in my haste.Druid is a Palaeocene target similar to the West of Shetland play and Drombeg is a Cretaceous FanSo the thrust of my post is correct in that Drombeg is the analogue for EOG not Druid
