03/12/2010 09:15 | yes Offler, I've just perused the interim results and it's a very cash generative business....with £16m cash and no debt at say 8p EPS then its operating off a very undemanding pe of 7. dividend yielding 5-6% at this valuation to boot | deanroberthunt
03/12/2010 09:14 | It's now trading at a quarter of it's IPO value. After 9 months. I'll try and sit down tonight to do some numbers to see if the drop prices in a drop in revenue for the entire of 2011. I presume if revenue dropped in Q4 2010 then it could continue for most of 2011 at lower revenue levels. | offler
03/12/2010 09:11 | Gopher You called it right. Well done. Normally, I sell very quickly after profit warnings but will ponder on this one a while. I was ever so slightly mollified by the absence of the word "significantly" before "below" in the statement! | ratel
03/12/2010 08:57 | I was tempted back in at 78p but luckily I had posted on this thread that I wouldn't buy until the 3month average share price was less than the current share price and for once I followed my own advice. Still sound advice here I believe. | gopher
03/12/2010 08:51 | just too much optimism at IPO and way way overvalued.... | deanroberthunt
03/12/2010 08:47 | motley fool tipped this as buy for 2011... | latifs100
03/12/2010 08:03 | phew, that was a near miss, looks like a decent discount for that statement | empirestate
03/12/2010 07:45 | Awful trading statement, probably the worst IPO in history. Will tank at open, could be a very long time before these get back anywhere near a £1. | rovers2
25/11/2010 18:20 | White paper may well focus some attention on education stocks.... | garth
25/11/2010 11:59 | Thanks Aishah for finding these articles. I only ever read positive things about Promethean and then I look at the share price! Nobody has satisfactorily explained the price collapse. I now that there is a theory that similar products could easily be produced by other companies but I think there is a lot more to these products than the hardware. Price is up 2p so far today which I think is the best rise since the results were released so let's hope this is the start of an upward trend. On fundamentals this is definitely underpriced. | fishbournetrader

20/11/2010 14:13 | I am not I am afraid. Very much admire what you are doing though and wish you the best of luck. | kimboy2
20/11/2010 11:18 | Kimboy2.....good to see you joined in here at the same point as me. I am going to contact the directors to see if I can arrange a presentation for investors as the market cap has fallen to a level where it is clear the original instos have been selling following the IPO and they will be increasing their dependence on new investors whether smaller instos or PIs. They can bring their own whiteboard...lol Are you not coming to the MUBL presentation next Friday ? | davidosh
20/11/2010 11:12 | I thought the webcast was very interesting. Plenty of growth worldwide to go at,good product, no debt and producing plenty of cash. Also they are spending a lot on R&D. I think the market is being unduly pesimisstic here and this is a quality company. Anyway needless to say i bought a wodge on Friday. | kimboy2
20/11/2010 10:16 | we need to hold support now for a few days above 75 and reckon we should start to see some progress thereafter | empirestate
19/11/2010 16:04 | I am usually patient waiting for the outer not the inner ...lol | davidosh
19/11/2010 15:35 | David, I wish I had your patience... I dipped my toe a couple of weeks ago with an average of just under a pound :-( | thecurrymonster
19/11/2010 13:00 | Well I have been watching for months and finally dipped my toe in at 76p average so just a question of seeing how the sales develop from here and if the revised expectation can be met. A reasonable yield I can live with too. | davidosh
19/11/2010 09:54 | Well, the daily afternoon rebounds in price over recent days are interesting. Having been watching for a while I bought a few yesterday. May not be the bottom, but I'm reasonably confortable with making an initial entry here. G. | garth
19/11/2010 06:44 | Bottoms are rarely a one day event. Having said that, the force with which the bears are pushing share price down is diminishing. The 24/8 force index spike is now showing a bullish divergence. Weekly MACD histogram is also showing a very slight divergence. Might be worth dipping a toe in around here. | farnesbarnes
18/11/2010 23:06 | incredibly quiet on here considering the sizeable buy side volume today. feel confident that this is the bottom around here now as the share price has found decent support above the 70p mark | empirestate
18/11/2010 09:51 | Gopher Thank you for your thoughts. You are right about the weak holders but I don't want to be out when the last one goes. Good luck to you if you can get in much lower than the current price. As always, general market conditions will come into play. | ratel |
