Posted at 17/6/2015 07:32 by masurenguy Would NDW really pay up to £75m for a company whose sales continue to decline every year since their IPO some 5 years ago and where losses continue to increase? Smart Technologies, their main competitor in the US, has performed even worse than PRW during this period so where is the USP for the two major companies in this market? |

Posted at 24/10/2013 06:47 by pugugly T/O interesting in relation to Market Cap but otherwise not interesting - Sales still declining - "Over the longer term, Promethean believes it is well positioned to benefit from the proven impact of interactive learning technology. In the near-term, we expect market conditions to remain challenging with continued pressure on education budgets and competion" - Cannot see much encouragemnt for the share price except possible takeover but the PRODUCT seems (to me) to be very much a ME TOO without much distinguishing USP's. Unless that is any who know the company VERY WELL can advise to the contrary. |

Posted at 20/6/2013 12:03 by rainmaker Patrick just remember that sometimes Institutional Investors as sellers of a stock for absolutely no other reason than a low share price or low market capitalisation even if the stock concerned is crazily undervalued. Thanks for your comments about the Value thread which I'm shortly closing down. regards |
Posted at 09/6/2013 11:48 by rainmaker You have to wonder whether the latest share price move is merely extending the 15p/25p trading range or a "suckers rally" sucking in buying before going much lower. We're broken into new low ground which is obviously a bad sign. It's not unusual for a share price to rise and hit the previous support (and now resistance) level before going lower. There's a whole load of Investors that have bought over the last year in the wake of the profits warning so it might be difficult for the share price to make progress from current levels into that "overhead supply" Are Investors going to sell out at breakeven or add further? I think trading volume will be the key determinant.Watching with interest.regards |
