(Quote) Rob Burgeman of RBC Brewin Dolphin contends that anyone adopting the Buffett approach in the UK markets should look at real estate which could benefit as interest rates fall.

He cites one candidate: 'Primary Health Properties owns and rents primary healthcare facilities – typically, purpose built GPs' surgeries. The shares may be down about 25 per cent over the past two years, but they offer a gross yield of around 6.69 per cent – and scope for capital growth.' (unquote)

Down-marking seems a very strange hobby... but I suppose even morons have to occupy themselves somehow.

Resolved my query now. Payment into my IG Index ISA account was split into two parts, one of which was slightly delayed, but all received now.

A newbie question: when and how is the PID element of the dividend credited to your ISA account? As cash?

Bond yields are hurting the property sector. Assura, the GP surgeries landlord slid 1 3/4p or 4% to 43.5p

Rise not due to the announcement. Just the market realising that the yield is too high compared to bonds. Same at Assura. I actually feel sorry for the new CEO as Harry will still rule over this.

Harry Hyman to become Chairman. Very good news. Always better to have someone with skin in the game, particularly with difficult market conditions.

I have just read all about Intu/Liberty which was extremely interesting and I had not realised all that had happened regarding all the changes and demise.
Hopefully PHP has firmer foundations and as they say themselves:"PHP is a strong business creating progressive returns for shareholders by investing in healthcare real estate let on long term leases, backed by a secure underlying covenant where the majority of rental income is funded directly or indirectly by a government body."

Hopefully not too many South African investors remember how owning Intu/Liberty might have helped them with capital controls but at a little cost

In safe hands:

Ticker to be announced.

South Africans are quite constrained with regard to what they can invest in.
This will broaden share ownership in PHP.

What is the purpose of a secondary listing when the company isn't putting any shares into the exchange? Just to enable holders there to make on-exchange matched bargain transactions?

Apologies if being naive.
