25/3/2020 00:50 | Virtue, Demand has fallen off a cliff, India locking down for three weeks won't help. Europe, the UK and the States pumping unheard of amounts of cash in, cash they can't afford, will only hold oil up short term. The world was awash with oil before the China virus hit, add to that OPEC and Russia threatening to open the taps next week, it could be argued oil is currently overpriced? The unaudited accounts show the available cash and undrawn facilities, do the maths. Night all. | ![]() andypop1
25/3/2020 00:03 | Andy, do you really think that oil will stay at this low price for a long time? Also how can you be so sure that pmo will be in admin by July? A reminder that 40% of the 1st half production hedged at $64. | ![]() patience a virtue
24/3/2020 23:44 | Marky, You keep banging on about the company trying to put current shareholders' minds at rest but they clearly stated they would be cash flow neutral if the oil price was $35 for the rest of the year. You need to understand that cash flow neutral does not include interest and amortized costs associated with the mountain of debt the company has. At $35 oil they would be making a loss on every barrel they produce, what's the current oil price? If the sale agreement goes through for the ageing North Sea assets they will inherit this year's losses on those assets and shareholders will get diluted to extremes only witnessed on the casino known as AIM. If it doesn't go through how on earth will the management persuade lenders to not only extend the debt but give the company facilities to increase the debt to cover operating losses? Laserdisc suggested the company has sanctioned the spending to fix Solan with resources ready to depart, Solan should be abandoned, don't throw good money after bad when you can't afford it. Off topic but relevant given the testing times we are living through, is it right that 10% of those employed in the UK should be exempt from the lock down (I appreciate those in the public sector fighting this everyday probably amount to more and I thank you for your efforts) but instead are expected to work on construction sites that are struggling to replenish basic hygiene products? The operatives travel from many different areas, work on other sites, so cross contamination is inevitable. I understand most are self employed but the government could deal with that at a later date. Boris is doing a great job, let's hope he does the right thing. Good luck all. | ![]() andypop1
