Charlie-1 confirms large condensate discovery.



But PMO pull out as its not what they want which is understandable. Natural partner for 88E is now Exxon who have a large condensate discovery in production already at Port Thompson, Alaska. PMO would not want to get involved in starting up a condensate discovery.

Charlie 1 - UpdatePremier has informed the Joint Venture that it intends to withdraw from the project, as the well did not meet its pre-drill expectations.The cost of the well remains within the expected budget and 88E does not expect to incur any costs in relation to the drilling.The well will now be plugged and abandoned ("P&A") in line with standard industry practice. The decision to P&A the well instead of moving to suspension or testing was made for a number of reasons:• Further analysis is required to determine whether a discovery of this nature can be commercialised on the North Slope, given the likely high gas content• An optimum stimulation and test at this juncture is not possible in the timeframe required due to the different phase of the hydrocarbons encountered

For those looking for news on the 88E/PMO Charlie-1 well, expectation is tomorrow morning Oz time for an update, but you never know.

News comes out in Oz around 23:30 to 23:45 UK time which is 08:30 to 08:45 in the morning Oz time.





Anything released in Oz in the morning will then be released by 88E on AIM at opening in London as well, and PMO may or may not update as often they wait for flow test results.

Wireline logging results are due, and a decision to proceed, or not, to flow testing of 1 or 2 zones of the Charlie-1 well.

No news on Charlie-1 today.

So pretty sure tomorrow morning will see news on the PMO/88E Charlie-1 well.

Hopefully the recent price spike is in part down to that and we get good news tomorrow.

The movement of share prices of Oilers like Tullow and PMO reminds me of the days when house builders such as Wimpey, Persimmon recovered and reached highs 10/20 times from their lows.
“Oil cheaper than water” just does not make sense and cannot exist for long.
