I will add with the bonds currently priced at 35 pence in the pound new creditors won't be queuing up to bail the company out.

Andy,

PMO as assets of 6 BLN and current liabilities of 4.9 BLN, net assets = 1.1 BLN

Your the one in cloud cuckoo land.

Vart,
The company has a market value of $163m and as far as we have been told they need to raise in excess of $500m, if you believe that won't be a disaster for shareholders you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

With the oil and gas price where it is, the company is burning cash by their own admission so will not be in a position to pay down the $2b next May. That leaves them in a position where they need to negotiate the debt through a new Scheme of Arrangement with ARCM taking the top seat at the negotiating table. The company will be at the mercy of the creditors and will know the court would take a dim view of them trying to circumvent the rules for a second time.

All this while the global economy heads for meltdown over the next three months or more.

Good luck.

Andy,

Do you mean the scenarios If PMO win, they will want to raise money via placings? I think the fundamentals are that good that any placing even at these levels would not be a disaster.

If you mean about if PMO don't win, then PMO have more assets than current liabilities. I'm sure something will be worked out.

I think it's you Andy that is missing the point.

Vart,
The court simply granted the company’s request to start the process but I think you are missing the point of the question and more importantly the scenarios that follow no matter which way the Judge rules.
And I was encouraging Eastender to add his vast knowledge to this board rather than posting complete and utter nonsense about fellow posters.

Well the Court approved it once Andy so I can't see why it wont go that way again, I personally can't see how ARCM can bang on about sub-divisions of voting.

Eastender,
Which poster are you talking about?
Instead of constant having a pop at other posters why don't you tell the board what your preferred outcome would be and why?
A: The court sanctions the Scheme giving the company (subject to shareholder approval) the authority to issue equity to the tune of $500m+.
B: The court fails to sanction the Scheme leaving the company with $2b debt due in a little over a year.

But Turvart, your analysis would be fine, ceteris paribus.

But alas, there is so much more to PMO than the base line fundamentals.

Recommend you dig a little further before listening to the Sirens.

Or you may end up on the rocks...
