20/5/2018 20:13 | That’s not the point. The point is that it produces one-sixteenth of the CO2 that would be produced by incineration. And the CO2 is not emitted during gasification, it is produced when the syngas is used as fuel in a gas generator to produce electricity. | vatnabrekk
20/5/2018 19:56 | I quoted the statistics on CO2 production accurately and you did not appear to know them until I gave you the quote direct from KA. PHE will still produce as much CO2 as hydrogen, so adding to greenhouse gasses, although I acknowledge PHE will produce only one sixteenth the amount of CO2 that Steam Methan Reformation processes produce, so PHE's is more environmentally friendly overall. | deccer1
20/5/2018 19:53 | So they get 1 tonne of CO2 for every 25 tonnes of waste processed. Now the real important comparison is this: how many tonnes of CO2 are produced if the same 25tonnes of waste is processed in some other way e.g. incineration? I seem to recall that it is in the order of 16 tonnes of CO2 as opposed to 1 tonne using gasification. That is the comparison that you should be highlighting. Now do you understand what I was getting at earlier when I said that you were posting misleading biased information? You’re only telling part of the story, the part that suits your agenda, whatever that is. | vatnabrekk
20/5/2018 19:51 | nelson you do wonder but PHE shareholders would probably cut off management's testicles and I doubt they would want to lose those. | deccer1
20/5/2018 19:37 | Does the board of both companies have as directors Keith Allaun and David Ryan? How do they participate in any board meeting where any confidential information is being discussed which could impact on the other company? | nelson5100
20/5/2018 19:34 | What do you reckon then? | deccer1
20/5/2018 19:32 | Vatnabrek get a life man!! | deccer1
20/5/2018 18:46 | According to the RNS dated 18 January 2017, W2T has been appointed as Project Development Consultant on an initial 24 month contract. The contract may be extended if development milestones are met and is subject to cancellation with a 90 day notice period. | vatnabrekk
20/5/2018 17:16 | Item 2 above has already been discussed on here and on the other BBs and KA has explained why he is no applying for patent protection. Items 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are simply wrong and these statements are deliberately misleading and giving a false negative bias. | vatnabrekk
20/5/2018 16:24 | It is true that PHE has not yet constructed a commercial unit, because they have not yet reached that stage of development. Why this should be put forward as a negative is beyond me. KA has stated that he expects to have permissions in place and to have completed the engineering around the end of this month, or perhaps into early June. He has also stated that the first commercial unit will be up and running in this current year 2018. We are not there yet. Targets cannot be regarded as having been missed until those target dates have actually passed. | vatnabrekk
20/5/2018 10:15 | I could be wrong but I hope they begin construction soon. | deccer1
20/5/2018 10:02 | No it won’t. This is deliberate misleading mis-information. There is enough plastic in the oceans and in the environment to keep PHE and other W2E businesses operating for generations. And there is enough used tyres becoming available all over the world every year to keep them in business far into the future. | vatnabrekk
20/5/2018 09:54 | Just on plastic straws, London alone uses 1000 tonnes/year plastic of straws. | deccer1
19/5/2018 09:25 | Yeep - Phe has no in force patents and no patents pending. | lagosboy
19/5/2018 00:00 | Patents aside they may be better not disclosing information to the patent office because others might see the documentation and try to work around it. | englishlongbow
18/5/2018 22:10 | Plastic packaging is small part of the real waste issue. Tyre's and non food packing is a bigger than single use food packaging. | slartybartfaster
18/5/2018 22:02 | Wrong thread | kalimarkalimar
18/5/2018 21:11 | I believe that a huge quantity of tyres go to landfill every year so presumably they are not all being put to good use such as soft play areas. Also, disposing of old tyres is a global issue, not just a UK problem. | vatnabrekk
18/5/2018 19:44 | As I understand it tyre crumb is not a waste product, it is in demand for creating soft play areas etc. Also it takes energy and time to make tyre crumb, so it is not low cost. If PHE can process raw untreated waste plastic that is different. | bittorrent
18/5/2018 19:00 | It's a pity they can't just connect up the share cert printer to the feedstock inlet - that would give them a seemingly inexhaustible supply of non-recyclable waste ;¬) I wonder who's getting them at three farthings - he must be a bit narked when they're only worth a halfpenny to everybody else? Still, I suppose all will be OK when he sees the supply of profitable hydrogen emerging from the first commercial reactor at the end of the year... | supernumerary
18/5/2018 16:36 | I'll have a pint of what you guys are on ! | tenapen
18/5/2018 16:02 | Apparently it does have a chimney because each module pumps out 1 tonne CO2 waste per day into the atmosphere so contributing to greenhouse gasses. | deccer1
18/5/2018 14:30 | I think you need to go for a lie-down,deccer1, you must be exhausted after producing all that waste product. | vatnabrekk
18/5/2018 14:11 | Apparently PHE don't have any patent protection either. How long before a user, competitor, or hobby hacker, steals the know-how ? | deccer1 |
