Persuasive arguments, well made - I would expect nothing else. So the sp, having rising considerably recently, is 5.5p because?

Will add today (doubt the market will notice!)

In Polos Interim results in March which Spight posted a link to on the other BB yesterday the NAV per share was 17.23p as at 16/3/16. So Polo is trading at about one third of its NAV. Rerating well overdue.

Well POL has 8.11% of BLK, which is 8.11% of its market cap of 227.94 M Australian dollars.

=18.48M Australian dollars =£10.68M with exchange rate of 1 Australian Dollar =0.578 pence.
10.68 divided by approx 302M pol shares = 3.5p a share for BLK alone.
GCM , Hibiscus, are listed investments, plus cash, so doesn't the current share price of POL look on the low side?

"BLK & cash worth 9p per share" - current share price 5.5p. Sounds too good to be true - I simply need to buy far more Polo shares. If it sounds too good to be true then - it probably isn't true.

This of course indicates that I am tempted to add a few hundred thousand but once/twice/thrice bitten . . . .

BLK now showing 0.905 up 6.47% on volume of 2.1 million. Let's hope the Polo share price starts to reflect the value of its assets with one poster last night suggesting BLK and cash were worth 9p per share with everything else in for free.

Thanks Spights, BLK is going up every day. I think POL's shares in BLK must be worth over £10m and rising. It's a good time to be invested in gold.

You can see the same sort of problem in the case of the Swiss. Most of them don't want free movement of people, they've had a referendum , but they need access to the European Market. They've been talking about a second referendum and they're not even in the EU. The trouble is 56% of their exports go to the EU - so what happens to them is likely to affect us. They're not in the EU but they have , proportionately to their population, far more EU immigrants than the UK has. Democratically, there should be no more EU immigration into Switzerland on anything like the present scale but in practical terms, stopping it is not going to happen.
Ask people which EU laws they object to, and most of them will find it difficult to think of anything. Ask them if they want to limit immigration, and it's another matter.

Democratically it is what should happen and one of the reason people voted out. Brussels is turning into a dictatorship with many across the EU now beginning to open their eyes.

That's not going to happen ps0u3165. There's much more likely to be a long delay and a massive fudge so that the UK can stay in the EU market. There will probably be some concessions to demands to end freedom of movement but a lot of movement will continue. They can't unpick and renegotiate over 40 years' worth of agreements in a few months or even a couple of years. The UK civil service doesn't even have enough experienced personnel to do it.And EU laws? Most people have no idea what they are-something about toasters, is all they can think of.

BLK is proving a great investment for Polo so very legitimate to talk about it.
Its put a stop to that appalling bloke who kept predicting the total demise of Polo.If Tang can do the same with GCM then we can all retire!

BLK is a very important holding for POL. It's risen about 400% in the past year or so, and POL's holding is worth about half its capitalistion at present, so please keep posting Spights.
