They've got there work cut out to realise shareholder value here. Been in since 3.2p, topped up several times but the rump of my investment has been from 4.5p to 5p. Haven't sold as you expect some turn around but some action needs to be taken. I was thinking about further purchases at 4p on the way down but now I've called it a day. Don't know where this will bottom. Becoming pointless to some extent at looking at underlying asset values as at the end of the day you have to sell Polo, not the individual assets.

Time for Polo to wind itself up, return proceeds to shareholders.

Nothing but sells here today.A kick in the backside for the asset value brigade that the price falls when all the companies in which PRL has a large holding have risen!!
The market wants to see a bit of corporate action.

Pomp

With all due respect , and I maybe teaching my nan to suck eggs but ....

I have spent many months and years touring all over East and West Europe and North Africa in various different campers . I covered over 60,000 miles in six winter trips . I would rate economy and reliability very high on the list of important factors for choosing a bus . If you have an air-cooled VW it offers neither imo . I am a certifying civil aviation engineer and i do know my motors . People who own older VW's do so because of the love affair aspect , they do not make good live in bus's imho . I wouldn't drive one to the end of the road let alone set off abroad in one .

Sorry if this offends , all the best with your investments , bus and travels

Sorry O/T all

Since the begining of 2009, directors have bought millions of shares (Dattels alone 51m) and at the very best can only be breaking even on average. With the 'offer' below the last Placing @ 3.85p, Dattel and co will have to get their act together in 2010 if they are to see any return on the millions spent.

i agree. there are many bankers in Zurich desperate for an agreement to be reached where the developing world gets huge sums from the developed world.

oh and a good number of Europoean department stores (Harrods, Slefridges etc)would like to see this type of agreement ;)

oh and don't forget the export department at Mercedes Benz!

International tree huggers and other eco warriors, plus the jobless, aimless, benefit scroungers and political agitators who have flooded into Copenhagen are 'beating their chests'louder than ever in the forlorn hope of intimdating developed countries to cough up billions of their taxpayers's money in projects that have yet to be thought through! Even more laughable are the various African reps who are also indignant(panicking) as they see the opportunity to earn fat commmisions by lining their political masters pockets with even more money- which will never see the light of day in helping to create sustainable eco systems for the poor, homeless and starving millions. Meanwhile, China is steaming ahead with reports that it will double(possibly treble) its emissions as it continues to burn coal for the for next 10-15 years in order to meet demands for electricity.

Avoid marben at all costs, he is only 300% off his price.lol watch the price pattersn i told him, no, he said he knew better and would get 145 this year lol, now 35p

5magic - 16 Oct'09 - 13:12 - 20142 of 20961 edit

Anyone that tells you the price action does not tell you something knows nothing imo.

Thats not criticising anyone, its just a fact. Right now there are no bids imo.
I hope CDN call it off 'officially' and get on with increasing production and looking to vsource funds down the line.

marben100 - 16 Oct'09 - 13:42 - 20143 of 20961

The FACT is that no-one has ever made any money on a long term, consistent, basis simply by following "price action". You stick to your strategy, I'll stick to mine, which has shown me good returns over more than 20 years.

marben100 - 20 Oct'09 - 00:43 - 20179 of 20961

ELBAN,

Fair point, but my view is that the return here could be very much larger than 25% from the current price. If I felt that that was all the upside then I would tend to agree with you. However, I am hopeful of a sale price north of US$500m (>145p), considering total resources of 750MT and prospective Cook/Minyango combined production of > 3MTpa
