10/12/2024 12:00 | 9188 Natch. They truly are the party of high taxation. | barry evans
10/12/2024 11:58 | I'm always amazed that when people pay 50/60/70K for a motor that they then complain about paying a few ton for road tax. | avatar333
10/12/2024 11:47 | Jonny 2 cars? | michaelg1
10/12/2024 11:39 | eh? Don't you attract a large extra for first 5 years due to car being worth more than 40K on purchase? | michaelg1
10/12/2024 11:36 | I have just checked and it seems that mine is £180. | monte1
10/12/2024 11:34 | Porker tax due at same time, but elected to just do a 6 months this time so that they are staggered and dont both fall due just after Chrimbo. | michaelg1
10/12/2024 11:32 | I still need to try to get that audio issue (caused by me updating firmware / sat nav maps) looked at by that avatar York way. I also noted it was dripping a little from the corners at the front where the soft top meets the aluminium - seems to do that now and then after some heavy rainfall - although boot is remaining pretty dry (as long as I park it a certain way). Just had to pay the road tax on it too, now at £335 which seems to have gone up a bit - thought it was around the £300 mark not long ago. But I realise cars post 2017 might have a much higher running rate... | michaelg1
10/12/2024 11:22 | Btw, ongoing Audi saga. I was also locked out of the MyAudi app which I assumed was something to do with my other troubles. Oh no. It turns out that you need to extend the 'licence' for that as well (on top of extended warranty and extended licence to use all the MMI gizmo's). £40 for the year. It really does feel as if one is being milked. | jeffian
10/12/2024 11:08 | For home kinema, yes generally have any lamps etc extinguished, but not really with any Christmas illuminations which remain on. | michaelg1
10/12/2024 11:07 | Aye, teh avatar is a wobot. | michaelg1
10/12/2024 11:02 | I think Dom also knows a fair bit about 'software', as it happens. | avatar333
10/12/2024 10:51 | #9167, That's just it, Dom. The problems are never mechanical these days, always electrics or 'software'. | jeffian
10/12/2024 10:40 | & presumably they munch popcorn from a snack helmet too | elpirata
10/12/2024 10:38 | On the subject of lights: Do avatars turn them off when watching kinema? It is normally dark in an actual kinema, if memory serves. | avatar333
10/12/2024 10:34 | 9168 BOL! | barry evans
10/12/2024 10:25 | #9164 aye, buying bulbs nowadays is quite an obstacle course. It was better when you just had to decide whether you wanted 60W, 100W or 150W. | grahamite2
10/12/2024 10:21 | hahaha classic Dom! Next you will be telling us to vote for the Tories! | michaelg1
10/12/2024 10:19 | Good luck Jeffian. Never mind though. As electric vehicles (need no servicing or major maintenance) displace the old market, dealers are dying..... | dominiccummings
10/12/2024 10:18 | 9164 LOL noted. | barry evans |
