02/4/2024 18:55 | Re The Passenger, I am still trying to work out wtf is going on. Is it weird, or is that the norm around Cornholme? | jeffian
02/4/2024 18:54 | #7364, I am so hoping that doesn't mean what I think it was meant to mean (though either variant is beyond thought). *shudder* | jeffian
02/4/2024 18:21 | The Passenger - ITV - filmed around Cornholme | michaelg1
02/4/2024 18:07 | Another recipe for a Martini: pour chilled gin into a chilled glass. Open bottle of dry vermouth and wave about in the vicinity of the glass. If you find the Martini is not dry enough for you, do the same but leave the vermouth bottle tightly capped. | grahamite2
02/4/2024 18:05 | Noted matey. | michaelg1
02/4/2024 18:03 | Aye Mikey but that's the point: a vodka martini is a variant. | grahamite2
02/4/2024 17:46 | I guess it is to distinguish from a vodka Martini :/ | michaelg1
02/4/2024 17:30 | #7350 a rather unhelpful recipe. How many gills is 50ml? What is a tsp? | grahamite2
02/4/2024 17:26 | A Gin Martini - or, as normal people would say, a Martini. | grahamite2
02/4/2024 17:25 | #7349 scroll down a bit and you come to a pic of J K Rowling. This fine lady has made the SNP's new law a nullity on day 1. | grahamite2
02/4/2024 17:01 | Actually, DominicCummings produces a mighty fine sausage | dominiccummings
02/4/2024 16:51 | Yeah some decent kinema - on way out I banged in Wonka, Oppenheimer and Saw X. On way back due to trying to Kip, just the latest Mission Impossible. Plenty to choose from tho, was very good. | michaelg1
02/4/2024 16:39 | Was there much in the way of in flight entertainment, Mikey? I always found you usually get a foo decent fillums to get through. | barry evans
02/4/2024 16:38 | Welcome back Mikey. | barry evans
02/4/2024 16:36 | I am looking forward to getting my lawn sprinkler out! Good old BST. | michaelg1
02/4/2024 16:34 | I quite like a Gin Martini occasionally. Mornings. Still feeling the jet lag. | michaelg1
02/4/2024 16:33 | Mind you, even in the days when it was seen as a 'plus' point in advertising, they used to get some stick from wags pointing out that it had probably been 'filtered' through 8 people by the time it got to your glass. | jeffian
02/4/2024 16:26 | 7354 It is shameful. Still, at least you know Thames water are looking out for you, jeffian. | barry evans
02/4/2024 16:24 | Cabaliers will remember me offering to take bets on the first 'drought' warnings and hosepipe bans. Sure enough, a short piece tucked away in the Times today saying we should still expect them as, despite having had a particularly wet winter, there are insufficient reservoirs and infrastructure to store and manage the (excess) water supply. It makes you want to weep (though that would only add to the surplus). Make me Minister in charge of creating a National Water Grid. I'd sort it out. | jeffian
02/4/2024 16:20 | As opposed to the X-ray dept open between 9-5 with no opportunity to book a slot, simply sit there until called, results can be anything up to 10 days. Its an instant image that can be e-mailed immediately ffs. | barry evans
02/4/2024 16:19 | I have a check up at the dentist at 7.20 this evening. Amazing, isnt it how long these places can stay open when they are privately operated.
