Quite. A shorter more focussed menu with more rotation is the answer. No point trying to please all of the people all of the time. I dgaf about most of them.

Tbh AVATAR333 there was a lot on the menu, and also special's, that I fancied and couldn’t decide. When the waitress came to take our order I froze like a rabbit in the headlights and blurted out dishes that were not even in my contemplation at that point.

I note they take great pride in stating when the product is sourced from Scotland.

Quite literally nothing on the menu from the rest of the UK, I note.

It was scallops gratin last night followed by rump of Dumfries lamb and then the crumble.
I only have their word that the lamb was from Dumfries, although tbf it was very good. The starter was not quite as strong - the mushrooms didn’t complement the scallops.

Some wok chilli lemongrass thing for me mit roasted pork belly and Jasmine rice - nice and fresh but had me sweating like a Spaniard. Big bockle of Tiger and share of white vino (on top of the couple of scoops of Budweiser at teh bowling place).
