Sorry guys but the later date in June as announced today for their results means the directors will be in a closed period which is not really much use for holding a presentation with directors.
I will set something up for July and I am separately intending to interview the directors live in a webcast so will be looking to receive questions from shareholders here in advance.
The good news is that the directors of Ensor ESR have agreed to fill the vacant slot and that is a cracking little company too IMHO.

Yes I did speak to David and he said they might not be presenting, agreed shame.

Hi, owneski: yes, researched AVG at the weekend after a heads up on the invaluable ZULU thread.

I shall try very hard to get to next week's Mello event, if work commitments don't intervene. JDG, PLA and AVG all presenting.

Edit: I have just re-checked and PLA are no longer on the list; shame.

I'm no technical expert but the 50 ma gives support at 75p, and strong support at 70p. The share price is sensitive to transaction both ways, a few sales today were enough to move PLA down 6%, and it wouldn't take much to move back up imo.

Apart from PLA there were some tempting stocks to buy today, C21 are top of my list to add some more.

Thinking about another top-up myself after todays share price weakness IC2. Cant see this coming down much from here personally.

When we see uncertain stock markets, I normally hide behind the sofa. But not today! I had been waiting for a chance to buy some more here at a lower price, and managed to a small top up just below 80p.

Now will look forward to full year results next month.

Barclays Stockbrokers has written to its customers seeking consent for a change which may have adverse consequences for investors who hold in excess of £85,000 in cash.

In the second half of 2012, Barclays Stockbrokers will cease to offer a broking service. Consenting clients will be transferred to Barclays Bank plc ("the Bank") who will offer the same service as at present.

The big potential problem arises from the change in the way cash balances will be treated. At present, cash balances are held as Client Money in accordance
with the FSA's Client Money rules. This means cash is held with regulated banks completely separated from Barclays Stockbrokers own money and assets. No more than 20% of Client Money can be held with banks within the Barclays Bank Group.

In future, cash balances held in broking accounts will be effectively treated as a deposit with Barclays Bank plc. In the event of Barclays Bank plc becoming insolvent Client cash will no longer be ring-fenced from use leaving Clients fully exposed as non-preferential creditors of the Bank.

I have set up a new thread (BROK) for Barclays Stockbrokers' clients affected by these changes and would also welcome contributions from investors using other brokers.

Thanks for the update on the presentation Boros10, "quietly competent and honest" confirms what Davidosh said yesterday.

Net debt not an issue for me here now, because PLA produce plenty of free cashflow and have paid down borrowing in the last two years. From £20,002m in 2009 to £13.90m in 2011.

Free cashflow was £4,226m last financial year, so would expect net debt to fall by a fair chunk again. Adding to the bottom line with reduced interest payments if they decide to use the cash to pay down borrowing again.

Cfro,

You are quite correct that the perceived risk was a fair bit higher a few years back.

Then again, faint heart....

Thanks for quick update Boros10.

Nice to see yesterdays gains extended this morning. It would have been great to get in at 30p like some of you guys but this one was completely off my radar due to the high debt levels. But debt being addressed, which is very important to me, and pe still less than seven. Cashlow seems a bit coppy but nonetheless nicely above capex and earnings. Could be a zulu in the making.

Oh, and as regards buying in on weakness and ones broker getting prices within the spread. That may be the case sometimes but now at the minute. I tried yesterday and no chance, had to pay the full offer.

Boros10....Welcome aboard! The same team from PLA came to our Mello dinner nearly two years ago and lots of our regulars are investors in the company. The management are very good as you highlighted and the two year performance has been excellent for me. I am sure you will be rewarded and unfortunately the spreads in a number of small caps are annoying but do also present opportunity from time to time. I tend to add in days or periods of weakness and a good broker will get you a price well within the spread if the MM is looking to level his book quickly. I was sorry to miss the event yesterday but I am currently involved very closely in two shareholder action groups and tomorrow have a very long day so needed preparation time yesterday.
