14/1/2005 14:55 | This is definitely on the move! | topvest
13/1/2005 15:51 | Finished 3.2% down in Tel Aviv today at 0.574 shekels (7 pence) on volume of 35K. | hugepants
12/1/2005 16:20 | Not much trading in Israel. Down 1.7% at 0.593 shekels (7.2 pence) | hugepants
10/1/2005 19:20 | Agreed. Looks good to me. Even tempted to buy some more! | topvest
09/1/2005 18:34 | Tel Aviv stock exchange open today. Pilat Technologies finished up 9.5%. Share price now 0.604 Shekels which is equivalent to 7.3 pence on LSE. 50% upside until UK share price equals Israeli share price. | hugepants
07/1/2005 11:16 | Some more news. January 6, 2005 Pilat to Expand U.S. Range of HR Metrics Technology. See | hugepants
06/1/2005 21:32 | This share is looking more interesting than at any time over the last 2 years. Get ready for the fun! | topvest
06/1/2005 21:13 | Sadly not. Somebody with a decent trad broker I suspect (give them their dues, Sharepeople are good for what they charge, but I wouldn't expect them to deliver service like that) | stewjames
06/1/2005 19:33 | Stew was that your buy at 4.25p? | hugepants
06/1/2005 12:59 | LOL! That would explain why they're not biting at my 4.25p offer then. :-) 5p! Greedy bloody sods! | stewjames
06/1/2005 12:02 | my broker wants 5p for 20000 | jmac2
06/1/2005 11:58 | Heck its up 11% in Israel now at .57 shekels. Thats 7 pence! Total volume value is about 7 grand. Since the Israeli market is much more liquid than LSE then surely the Israel share price should better reflect the value of the company. | hugepants
06/1/2005 11:34 | MMs really don't want to relax their greedy 25% margin. | stewjames
06/1/2005 10:24 | PIA price finished flat yesterday in Israel. Current price in Israel is 54 points (up 5%). In the Tel-Aviv stock exchange each point is 0.01 Shekels. Therefore share price equivalent to 0.54 Shekels. Now converting that to UK pounds using xe.com gives equivalent of 6.5 pence. The number of units/shares in issue are the same in each exchange. Go figure. To compare I checked another LSE/Israel dual listing, Pilat Media. Share price works out at 37.9 in Israel and 37 in UK. So it matches more or less. | hugepants
05/1/2005 13:41 | showing 5% rise in Tel-Aviv just now | jmac2
05/1/2005 13:06 | Trying to pick some up inside the ludicrous spread. No joy so far. | stewjames
05/1/2005 12:20 | 148,823 shares traded in Israel versus 25,000 traded here. Down 1.75% over there. Definetly more liquid | hugepants
05/1/2005 00:15 | Johnny, Good job. I think we should keep a close eye on the Israel share price in future. Its maybe more relevant since probably more liquid. Worth checking how liquidity compares. | hugepants
04/1/2005 20:58 | Some good posts. Very interesting, the price differential between Israel and UK. Nice to get some interest in this one. | topvest
04/1/2005 20:30 | Good Evening I must say some very good posts here today. Johnny thankyou for the new information. I certainly was not aware of this. Ive checked the Israel share price and PIA as you say currently has a m/cap of 1.6 million pounds on the Tel-Aviv stock exchange and only 1 million pounds on the LSE. Im not familiar with this situation but I expect the gap will narrow. | jim_black
04/1/2005 17:18 | I sent an email to the company earlier today about the dicsrepancy in market cpas between Britan and Israel. Reply was Hi John, You are reading it correctly. There is no reason for such a discrepancy and usually it straightens out, especially by the actions of arbitrageurs. Thanx for your interest, Chaim Helfgott | johnny890
04/1/2005 16:07 | Good research the israel stock exchange is www.tase.co.il Pilat's code is PILT johnny is righr | jmac2
04/1/2005 13:26 | I have held this share for years now from well before the demerger. Ones for the bottom drawer It is very rarely traded here but on the Tel-Aviv stock exchange the share price is 0.52 shekels. That translates to a capitalisation of 1.5 million GBP, and that is a half more again than the British cap. | johnny890
04/1/2005 11:42 | Going back through the last 3 quarters the pre-tax profits are: Q1 profit = 58K Q2 profit = 7K Q3 profit = 120K The real bull case here is based on the Q3 performance. Is it a one off or the start of a trend? If you annualise Q3 profits you get FY pre-tax profit of 480K. That gives around 300K after tax. For a tech company with strong balance sheet then that implies a market cap of at least 3M or 12p a share. So a possible 3-bagger. Q4 results eagerly awaited in mid-March. I dont think the market has caught on to the significance of Q3 performance. Or perhaps waiting to see decent cash flow. Or just doesn't like companies with major part of operations based in Israel. | hugepants
