Piaggio -- ''Scooter and moped demand triples as commuters look to shun buses and trains' - Guardian reporting data. Guess it probably need some clearer European data for June sales to get this moving - also in UK the freeze on CBT training needs to be lifted.
Piaggio looks purest play on this but down 10% over the last week.

Autotrader says big jump in adviews for 2-wheelers since mid May. Mopeds and Scooters views up around 50% y/y and motorbikes around 30%. Piaggio also makes Vespas and other brands. Leads consumers sent to dealers for mopeds/scooters up around 200% y/y in first week June.

de-listed from AIM...but at that time it kept an Tel Aviv stk mkt listing...



on Bloomberg is says that share price has fallen over 80% in 2012....
if that info is correct....and is same company...
and not some mess up ...and info perhaps from a previous year..

With a current share price of 4.5p and a 100% spread 2-6, even at 6p/share the market cap will be £1.5Mns. With a cash offer of £4Mns this equates to some 15p/share. Looks to me a good deal for PIA shareholders and undervalues this stock with a potential 233% uplift if deal goes through.

Has entered into a non binding letter of intent to sell subsidiaries to an un named American Company for $6Mns/£4Mns in cash, Consideration to be paid on completion after due diligence. Obviously there is no guarantee of success, but will not do the share price any harm. Current market cap circa £1.5Mns

Is there anyone else wondering what to do with a small number of these shares that because they are certificated are expensive to sell and yet to let them go to the Israel SE will make them just about untradeable as the costs of currency conversion will wipe out any value they might have had? Or am I the only perosn with these shares in the UK!!??

how do you think the the us economy can cope?
why should they pump more oil?
they are getting richer and probably won't worry if food etc costs a few quid more

Not really...inflation is the concern at the moment. Economy seems to be imploding! I agree that the West are losing the plot and are being caught up rapidly by the East.
The main issue appears to be an oil bubble...where this will all end up is anyone's guess, but if this carries on to $200 / barrel (or $500 - why not!?) there will be lots of pain soon all over the world because it causes inflation.
Most bid situations have broken down recently - no confidence!

the balance of world economic power is shifting rapidly from west to east extremely quickly
could have completely within a year imho
US could be on its knees within a year and we won't be far behind

I've sold out this week. At one point, I never thought I would break-even on these and so it's nice to get out on a reasonable profit + the dividend to come. Good luck to those that remain!

NTV - Yes, interesting news today. Offer for European and North American entities for a tidy sum. That would still leave the Israeli business and a slug of cash remaining. It's all happening here - looks like value is starting to show through at last.

i was hoping it was going to drop back a tadge so i could pick up some more especially in this mkt
yield is good here as well,i guess you noticed the dividend
picked up some nbi recently
might try to pick up some alph
difficult to find quality stock

Well the final results were quite encouraging. Seem to be expanding in Israel with a few small acquisitions. Could be the prelude to a more dynamic future?
