ATS is for all 3 metals in a single process.

"This wasn't at the AGM, but in an earlier chat with Ryan we discussed the aerial tramway. He said that he was evaluating all alternatives, but because ATS needs the rock to be ground quite fine before processing, there might be an option to have a crusher at the mine and then transfer the crushed ore as slurry to the plant. It wasn't a comment that we probed more deeply, but that sounds like another potential cost saving route." DP. 8th June 2023

Most AIM punters probably think they fill up a wheelbarrow with rocks, wave a magic wand over it and it turns into $100 dollar bills, but I'm smart enough to know that's not the case!

I was kind of hoping someone more knowledgeable than me can explain the envisaged process flow sheet, as I'm gazumped? So I'm guessing they crush and grind the ore, then what? Is ATS just for the gold and silver?

1. ATS is commercially viable with the Empire ores. Just can't formally say so yet.
2. Tanks for ATS are quicker than heap leach pads to construct.
3. ATS would allow Cu, Ag & Au to be recovered in a single pass.
4. No one specified where 2023 production would come from.

On the recent update regarding ats "assuming the process is commercially viable, we would then plan to formally incorporate it into our plan of operations" so you can recover the metals, but the big questions is "is it commercially viable "???? And if not????

Looks like they have malachite, but I also note on mining data online "the copper oxide mineralization occurs as veinlets, stockworks and disseminated oxides/sulphides" anyway from my armchair non expert view you don't want sulphides near ats and the metallurgy is not straightforward.... maybe why they've done several rounds of testing over several years.... even just read an article from summer 2020 on Pheonix and ATS so three years at least on this and still no answers....if it was easy it would be wrapped up by now, red flag for me....all Imho DYOR!

So I'm reading something that essentially says the copper species cuprite and malachite are the best for ats, covellite and chalcocite leach to a slight extent and basically forget about chalcopyrite. Source: The treatment of copper-gold ores by ammonium thiosulphate leaching by Ellen Molleman. What is the dominant copper species at the empire mine?

I'm not claiming to be an expert on tank leaching or ats but curious to see how it goes, good luck ! Now, where the hell are the results ROFLMFAO

Are you saying ats tank leaching will reduce costs versus heap leach? Are there plans for a pilot plant? Anyway last year all the talk here was production in 2023 and there's only 5 months left so kind of unlikely I reckon!

All comments simply my humble opinion not investment advice! That 2019 study envisaged a conventional sulphuric acid heap leach, would such a project get permitted nowadays in the US? Is that why they've gone for a tank leach?

Essentially this is a small tonnage low grade project would like to see a proper company to a proper study and see where the IRR comes out !

Looks like it's a tank leach now not heap leach. Tank leach comes with higher capex and opex obviously, but don't worry about a feasibility study just crack on innit

Looking at their corporate presentation to see how they intend to process this ore and the first 3 pages are on ESG and sustainability, are they drinking woke juice in the office or something

How's the Biden admins reputation for mine permitting mate? Plus i wouldn't turn down a cheap Chinese takeaway !

Above economic assessment dated 2019 so a bit out of date but gives an idea of the robustness of this initial starter project with impressive NPV and IRR figures.

Much has changed since then including at least 2 mineral resource updates, plus of course the strong possibility that positive ATS test results will reduce costs, increase recovery rates and enable parallel extraction of multiple metals as well as enhancing the already impressive ESG credentials which is becoming increasingly important.

Costs will obviously have increased though, as they'll have done for every other miner globally.

A more detailed technical report is available here for you to pretend to understand:

But best of all Bradders, it's not in Indonesia so there's zero chance of the whole lot being handed over to the Chinese on the cheap.

Maybe start with a PEA or PFS before talking of definitive studies ! Shocking stuff!

How will you know if it's profitable or not without doing an industry standard study to work out the life of mine in years, the amount of copper it will produce over its life, the LOM revenue and EBITDA, the initial capex cost, the C1 cash costs and the AISC?Will you simply guess all of that? You need three studies ideally to improve on each one by identifying weaknesses and parts you can improve. Plus all the detailed engineering and design etc.....you guys haven't thought this through imho maybe you'd be better off buying shares in Greggs the Baker as sausage rolls are easy to understand! All imho DYOR!

ROFLMFAO are you taking that material on tour? Maybe a straightforward gold project can get away with no feasibility, but not copper, especially one with complex metallurgy. Another AIM Comedy gold Laural and Hardy mining company to go along with KEFI and ARCM....all imho DYOR!

Every time I wake up feeling bullish on Copper, I think about this share and its potential. You just have a tremendous asset here in the world’s best jurisdiction. I don’t know how it happens or when it happens or even *if* it happens but should it happen, this is going to be a mega share.

Tempted.
