The panic selling on Friday created a crazily cheap asset. I do not think I have ever seen anything like it and I have been in markets for 30 years.

For those that know what I talking about 5 times the current price (3.6p as I type) will bring us to a price to book of 1.

And that does not account for the surging price of gold

Logical, as now the dust has settled what is revealed is an extremely cheap asset.

Gold was $1770 on January 6th 2022

So while the price of the shares has plunged since that date the value of this company and its assets will of course have gone up by 10% at least. (I say at least as that calculation takes no account of the leverage effect enjoyed by all miners when the price of the underlying commodity goes up).

We are at the start of a process whereby that mismatch between price and value at POG is being resolved more realistically.

There's gonna be another 2 rounds of talks later this week (Belarus and Turkey). What's most important is Russia already showed their willingness to stop invasion if Ukraine recognize independence of Krymea and Donbas republic, so all is looking rather good.

A third round of talks between Russia and Ukraine ended Monday without any significant breakthroughs, although Ukrainian officials said there were slight shifts on safe passages for civilians attempting to flee to war-torn country.Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said without elaboration that “there were some small positive shifts regarding logistics of humanitarian corridors.â€? He said that consultations will continue on ways to negotiate an end to hostilities.Previous efforts to set up safe passage for civilians over the weekend fell apart amid continued shelling. But the Russian Defense Ministry announced a new push Monday, saying civilians would be allowed to leave the capital of Kyiv, Mariupol and the cities of Kharkiv and Sumy.Russia’s top negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky, said he expects that humanitarian corridors in Ukraine will finally start functioning Tuesday. He said no progress has been made on a political settlement, but he voiced hope that the next round could be more productive.“Our expectations from the talks have failed, but we hope that we would be able to make a more significant step forward next time,â€? Medinsky said. “The talks will continue.â€?Some of the previous planned evacuation routes actually would funnel civilians toward Russia or its ally Belarus, a plan that Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk called unacceptable.
