It must be awful watching it just carry on going up, knowing the money you could be making!

I know, I have been there before!

If you have sold 1 Million shares knowing you could be making £10K a penny.

The only way to have any peace of mind is to stop looking and move on from the B/B full stop.

Looking for a break of 42.5 on the GDX and 1970 Dec gold to confirm breakouts for gold and a move to new highs. Room in the channel POG has been in for the past year to run up to the low forties now.

Turkey seeking to use Gold to back up a depreciating currency.

It could be catching!

Very bullish sign that gold has managed to stay above $1900 oz. and with the added plus of physical demand for Jewellery increasing. Bodes very well for a move back to new highs in the coming months and into next year.

The Company has a legal obligation to produce audited results within 6 months of the end of their Accounting Reference Date. So before the end of June next year.

We know what the half year figures look like :-

23 July 2020

Petropavlovsk PLC

2020 Half Year Trading Update

Petropavlovsk PLC ("Petropavlovsk" or the "Company" or, together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") today issues its trading update for the period from 1 January 2020 through to 30 June 2020 (the "Period" or "H1 2020").

Highlights

Gold production and sales

-- A 42% increase in total gold production to 320.6koz (H1 2019: 225.0koz), including 178.0koz from the processing of own and third-party refractory gold concentrates at the POX Hub

-- A 39% increase in total gold sales to 312.4koz (H1 2019: 225.0koz) in H1 2020, including 170.9koz produced from the processing of own and third-party refractory gold concentrates at the POX Hub

-- Average realised gold price of US$1,640/oz in H1 2020 (H1 2019: US$1,286/oz)

We look forward to the new flotation plant starting operation in the next few months.

Development Update

Update on the construction of a new flotation facility at Pioneer

-- The construction of a new flotation facility at Pioneer will double the Company's refractory ore processing capacity from 3.6Mtpa to 7.2Mtpa, meaning that approximately 240 kt of concentrate will be supplied to the POX Hub from the Company's own mines in 2021 , once operating at full capacity

-- Construction remains on schedule for the plant to be fully operational in Q4 2020 despite the logistical challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Russian tracker funds need to take positions in POG before POG becomes part of the Russian Indices by the 18th September.

Lots of real positives among the false news hype promoted by ex-investors.

Robertstronghand and mooniesteve where did you both suddenly spring from? Both with your bullish stance and just ever so slightly dodgy English.

Last H1 results were unaudited, they are the responsibility of the directors, Deloitte reviewed H1 results last time but they did not audit them. So whilst it would be good to have auditors appointed, and I expect the directors will take as long as necessary to go over the results, it is not a necessary condition to appoint the auditor before releasing H1 results.

These deramping posts are less effective than novichok, and as based in reality as any of the poisoning yarns we have been fed in recent years.

Irrespective of whether Steve is clutching can POG release half year interim results without an auditor on board? If they can, do they have to give any notice as to when they are going to do so?

LSE suspension and then Strukov offers 20p per share to 'rescue' the company?
stevea171

No relief from the LSE for posting Interim results due to the CV.
So POG's Interim results deadline is in 3 weeks - 30th September or suspension.
No auditors have accepted appointment so far.
Is this what Strukov and his BoD's are planning?
Moscow Exchange rules may be more flexible?

"Today’s announcement indicates that an extra 2 months will be granted for the preparation and publication of annual financial statements by listed companies that require extra time to complete them. The FCA will forbear from suspending a company’s listed securities if the annual financial statements are published within 6 months of their year-end.

The relief does not extend to half-yearly financial reports and publication of these continue to be required within 3 months of the half-year end in accordance with DTR 4.2."

apple53, thank you for wording my thoughts so accurately.

Let us hope that all this negativity will soon evaporate and POG can show us what it can do now that we have hopefully got through the difficulties of rearranging the people at the top.

Dear Popeye

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your clarification - you really mean that the problem you have is with repetitive unsupported posts rather than non-holders posting.

By contrast MooniesSteve has not replied to my challenge to his unsubstantiated (unsupported) post about management discount being erased. I hope (s)he will eventually post some useful information.

I will admit to not being able to post added value (except as above) so I will generally keep my head down unless I can.

Kind regards

Robertstronghand.

Can I ask where you have suddenly sprung up from ?

And you seem to only post here ...

Who are all these people who have suddenly appeared who are supportive of Strukov and of the shenanigans in Moscow?!

PI's have to ask themselves what the fxxk is going on here?!

Bit of a war of words going on at the moment.......Amur Region News.

THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF POKROVSKY RUDNIK APPEALED TO THE RUSSIAN MEDIA WITH A REQUEST NOT TO SPREAD FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPANY

Sergei Ermolenko believes that an information war was launched against the company. This, in his opinion, is evidenced by the fact that publications discrediting employees and JSC Pokrovsky Rudnik appeared in a variety of media and TG channels at the same time. Moreover, immediately after the expulsion by the police, acting CEO of Petropavlovsk plc Maxim Meshcheryakov from the captured office.
Recall that on August 26, a group of athletic young people led by Maxim Meshereryakov seized the office. They stayed there for a day, destroying the company's equipment and documentation , after which they were expelled by the police .

Immediately after that, publications began to appear in various media, in which the situation turned from a completely different angle - and Maxim Meshcheryakov, according to them, did not invade anywhere, and it seems like the employees themselves broke everything there. This is despite overwhelming evidence of an intrusion, such as surveillance footage. Most of them, installed in the building, survived and continued to work, thanks to which the "glorious path" of Maxim Meshcheryakov and his companions in the company's office can be traced. It is also clear from these records that it was they who damaged computers and other equipment, causing significant damage to the company.

The Pokrovsky Rudnik company filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies in connection with the attack and the resulting material damage.

“Since the end of August, our company has been in a very difficult situation. - says Sergey Ermolenko... - Our Moscow office at 13 Rubtsov Pereulok was seized by a group of men led by the acting General Director of Petropavlovsk plc Maxim Meshcheryakov. With the support of law enforcement agencies, we managed to return the office, and we are awaiting the initiation of a criminal case. We also faced an attempt to illegally change the composition of the Board of Directors of our company and are challenging this in the Arbitration Court of the Amur Region. Another challenge is informational. The publication of anonymous, deliberately false information in a number of Russian media damages the reputation of our company and employees. But "Pokrovsky Rudnik" is a living people who are responsible for their words, and this will always win (over) anonymous lies, no matter how much money it is published for. I really hope that the media will also be responsible for their reputation and published materials.

Thanks for the article Troy, the spin that certain posters have put on the incident is bizarre, that article clears things up. Confirms the board's RNS that the issue has been resolved and the duly appointed CEO can go about his business, we just have to hope no damage was done.

Er MooniesSteve..

Have you heard of the word balance.. ?

Also since you have arrived so recently and fervently on this board I have asked you a little about your heritage which you have declined to do.

And I have asked you about your rationale for supporting Strukov which you have refused to do.

Come on let's have a balanced debate.

Nice to see I got a down vote for my trouble in posting PRO Strukov !

I did read another article yesterday from Russia where a journalist posed a few questions to Meshcheriakov, which didn't really gleen much that isn't known, although about the auditor situation, he was asked how the appointment was going and specifically if it was going to be one of the "Big Four". His quoted answer was "He didn't know".

The old guard have acted contrary to both Russian and English law, there is a reason people are often escorted from their desk by security when they lose their job, the only concern is if any damage was done. Fortunately markets are forward looking, any damage will be rectified, and wrong doers we shall see.

Oh look the usual suspects have emerged peddling their falsehoods and misinformation. Actually the share price hasn't just held up, it is clearly continuing on the long up trend of the past year. I would like to think some posters are putting their money where their mouth is and shorting, but I suspect not.

Thanks for that article Troy I too am watching from a safe distance having sold out. Its an amazing story and a great lesson in how to steal a company Russian style, you have to admire Stukov for his pure brass neck in so blatantly doing this in full view. I wonder what he will do next? Its like a soap opera lol.
Keep up the Russian commentary.

Balanced posting seem logical and appropriate on every board.

And may indeed prevent overly bullish/naive investors from losing their shirts financially.

I would love the newsflow to improve here. But for now the narrative looks toxic.

I grant that the Shareprice has held up reasonably well supported as much as anything by Russian national pride perhaps ("Hey this is how we do business in Russia - get over it" kind a thing).

I just think that if things go bad then that will happen very quickly ... And that the risk of them going bad has increased in light of recent events.

The Russia risk - which as other posters have correctly delineated - has gone up here
