12/1/2017 11:16 | shaf. Its all historic IMO, but people keep banging on about it for some reason. POG own around 33% of IRC and act as guarantee for their debt (around $250M I think). However, IRC now generating good cashflow and their share price has made v good progress. So I don't see the problem (surely it would be their share price that would be low if IRC were in trouble!!) | wallywoo
12/1/2017 11:10 | Anyone looking at DOW... time for a major pull pull back imo... just take up a short position there... | shaf200
12/1/2017 10:52 | I should know more about IRC but what's the problem with this company? | shaf200
12/1/2017 10:41 | For me, it's the IRC debt guarantee: specifically, the cross-default clauses. Basically, if IRC defaults, so does POG; and the ALL the debt can be called in by the creditors. Plus, for the share price to rise, it's probably (IRC aside) also going to take a couple of years of POG showing a profit and paying down their debt in a predictable manner. So what might move the share price then? 1. Gold rises above $1,350 and stays there 2. IRC turns a profit: and is able to meet its debt repayments without needing further borrowing (debt) or new investors to stump up cash 3.i. POG consistently makes a profit; and uses some of that profit to reduce the debt burden 3.ii. POG removes its IRC debt guarantee (and/or removes cross-default risk) 4. Reinstatement of a dividend and/or share buybacks AIMHO, NIAI and please DYOR. | grbaker
12/1/2017 10:13 | Strange how my best performing stock this tax year is HGM and my worst is POG, both Russian gold mining companies, so it obviously has nothing to do with the Geography. | popeye888
12/1/2017 10:01 | I am heavily invested here.. and for my sins keep adding... and I always have the same question on my mind.. is this dog not priced in to go BUST?.... "when all logics fail the illogical becomes logical" | shaf200
11/1/2017 09:34 | more bad news, gold moving higher. | popeye888

10/1/2017 09:09 | juju44, you can relax now that normal activity has resumed. Gold up, dog down! | popeye888
09/1/2017 17:43 | The majority of today's active poggers followed PoG. | cliffo2
09/1/2017 17:40 | Gold price? or perhaps IRC progress! | officehead
09/1/2017 16:53 | anyone know why this dog went up ? | juju44
09/1/2017 14:02 | Thanks wallywoo, I was being a bit facetious because POG management always seem to pull a hitherto, unheard of, excuse, out of the bag at the very last minute, to dent the share price. I sincerely hope that for once they really do have 'all their ducks in a row'. | tymedici
09/1/2017 13:03 | There has been some record cold weather in Russia, and it has been down to -22 in petropavlovsk kamchatsky last week. Historically though weather in this area is pretty stable and although cold, does not suffer the extreme weather of some parts of Russia. So it may effect a Qtr's performance but unlikely to become a major long term issue IMO. | wallywoo
09/1/2017 12:39 | Thanks wallywoo. I wonder if she does 30 day weather forecasts for eastern Russia? | tymedici
09/1/2017 12:23 | Worth watching. This analyst talks about POG turning a corner with better news to come. Interview with Zak Mir | wallywoo
07/1/2017 08:59 | TMO stocks never represent the true or inner value, they are mere hope values. Mass psychology and psyops play the mayor role. Not to forget short selling and other means of manipulation. In the last 1.5 year or so Vekselburg aquired roughly 1/3 of the stocks at a remarkbly constant discount price below 10p. No other big fish seems to be around? Gentlemen agreement? | seppsuess
06/1/2017 22:17 | Thanks Gents... topped up at 6.92... held back a little.... :-) | shaf200
06/1/2017 14:56 | shaf: Personally I would be amazed if POG went bust (financing is sorted, cashflow will be v good). However, this is Russia so you have to allow extra risk factor for that and of course if gold price and ion ore price tanks!. Good luck, I for one do not think you will regret it, but WTFDIK, dyor | wallywoo
06/1/2017 13:43 | wallywoo, I appreciate what you are saying but it does appear that investors don't agree with you otherwise the share price would be 20 X what it is now. I believe someone is out to get this company for nothing. If we see a big drop in the gold price, the debt will take this company down and I do not believe there is any good reason why gold could not drop below $900. Having said all of this I am over weight in gold mining shares but this one does resemble the Titanic. | popeye888
06/1/2017 08:56 | HNY everyone. For a new years sin I'm thinking about investing in POG... Happy to wait a year for share price to double. My only concern is will POG go bust. I'm happy to assume pog will not go below 1000$. A stance that I have maintained. Opinions appreciated. | shaf200
