Real concerns starting to surface over Deutsche bank and Commerzbank after Merkel ruled out a bail out. Could be the start of another rise in gold, Deutsche could be the EUs Lehmann moment. Very worrying but good for gold and hopefully good for POG.

Unless the interims are totally spectacular I would suggest that nothing will change. Until the smoke clears over the recent M and A talks and something actually happens/changes the share price will change very little.Also need is news regarding POX and the underground mining progress at Pioneer. SP going nowhere.

Chinese steel prices were more aligned with iron ore, with the spot iron ore price <.IO62-CNI=SI> up nearly 32 percent this year to trade at $56.50 a tonne on Friday, also a two-week peak.

hazl,POG v ORE, over the last five years or so the share price decline has been similar. That said though over the last year POG +20%, ORE -50%.Says it all really!.DD

Just had a top-up myself - not based on Polygon's position, but suitable timing nonetheless. I think the upside here far outweighs the downside so even with the nasty spread I'm happy to add given the potential here.

Could be that Polygon are very carefully trying to ease out of their short position.
If gold doesn't sell off and drop below $1300 after tomorrows FED activity then we could see some continuing upward movement here.
