Gentlemen

I have followed Petroneft over the years, it has served me well but we are in extraordinary times and should point out there is significant risk buying or holding Russian stocks currently - I am sure we have sophisticated investors here who are aware.

Over the last week HSBC has stopped trading in both POG and POLY on their platform and I wonder whether this is the start of a purge by brokers, will they move to smaller below radar Russian companies in due course, if so it could be difficult to exit so please be aware and review your positions.

No advice intended.

This has been agressively oversold when the operating business should be resilient. The Irishness will be a plus at present too but this is far too small to be on anyone's sanction or other list I imagine. I guess it could get delisted in London if the govt/LSE decide Russian assets are not welcome on the exchange but hopefully we would retain the ISEQ listing.

I think it is a case of fortune favours the brave with Russian stocks like PTR & others, took a look at the bulletin boards of POG and POLY a week or so ago, all negative, in short time both are up 150% from their lows.

PTR is probably safer than both of the above companies with local management and employees + they are stuck far away in outer Siberia and too small to attract attention, cannot rule out a opportunistic bid either.

I can see PTR share price recovering, it has barely moved off it's lows, no wonder buyers were coming in on Friday.

Surprised this has not started to recover it's fall given most Russian stocks have bounced very hard over recent times.

Under radar, but hit 4.9p in January.

Hmm, tricky one here at mo, I’m inclined to add to my existing position. We’ve been through a fair bit over the years and survived, many times to my amazement. Imho I don’t think this price will be seen again and opportunity doesn’t hang around for long, bwdik. Good luck all 🤞🏻

I'd rather PTR delay any news they legally can for as long as possible. As long as the war persists PTR is going nowhere decent regardless of where it sells its oil or how well it's doing. Keep schtum.

The only way it can end is when Putin is dangling by a noose after a war crimes trial. As for Russia's economy, it will fair no better than North Korea's. It will have to resort to a black market economy, which will make the mafia ever more powerful. The people in Russia have got no chance. Unless there is a military coup. It's over for Russia and the people while Putin's still in charge.
