29/8/2018 14:44 | OK so for those of you who follow the PoO theory on this share here is an article confirming my views expressed last week regards the fact PoO will not be shooting up in the near term. hxxps://oilprice.com The share price did not rocket today on results either as there was no read across from Wood group as I suggested would be the case last week, I will go further now and say that future profits may take a little hit due to rising costs for manpower which is basically what contractors sell. I mentioned last week I turned down an offer recently from PFC due to the low rate well they are not the only ones trying this. WG and Bechtel are also trying to man up jobs on historically low rates and are struggling badly. They bid the jobs on the basis there were a lot of spare bodies on the market turns out they got it wrong I suggest you can read that across to PFC and that any contracts they win going forward may not yield the profit they expect. Long time before that info will feed into the bottom line mind you but contract wins just now may not all be good news long term. I continue to hold a core holding as I don't expect much dramatic movement here baring some news on the SFO investigation or a large contract win, caveats on the latter already mentioned. I am still bearish :0) | pogue
29/8/2018 14:26 | Afternoon bracke! Yes, perhaps I should have been a little more temperate. Got back from a couple of weeks in France yesterday, must be affecting the old kama. When I was away, I met a fund manager who worked for Black Rock. Had some very interesting conversations as to how things work from their end. He was very interested in the monkey. Long here, but expecting it to be hit. If it closes down today, or below the 200 EMA, I think I'll exit and get back in on any major move to the downside. This is a better trading share than BP at the moment, but I miss the old thread. Have a look at the FRES thread. | penycae
29/8/2018 12:28 | Guys, the trend is your friend !PFC is in an upward trend. Shorts will play their games, sooner or later, when it starts to hurt their pockets they will have to get out. When they do that they will have to buy in. Share price will rise. I think it was a good set of results.PFC has stated that they will win more contracts in the coming Q. Read the Results RNS. The Accountants will be looking at the figures of today's results . By us motley Pi's few K share sales don't make much difference to the share price of PFC. We want the Fund Managers to buy in. PDYOR. AIMHO of course. GLA. | callmebwana
29/8/2018 11:23 | He's right though we'll probably end the day where we started, then see what happens next week. | warranty
29/8/2018 10:52 | Language Penycae! Language! | bracke
29/8/2018 08:41 | Great start, let's hope the rise continues through the day and end of the week now there's no bad news. | warranty
29/8/2018 08:28 | What sort of odds does the average shorter bet or work with? | cinquepercento
29/8/2018 08:13 | Shorts will first close quickly to release the share price in an "orderly manner"... | fuji99
29/8/2018 08:08 | Yes,this should do the trick! It will be interesting to see how high it goes today. :} | cinquepercento
29/8/2018 08:05 | ^^^ another failed trader | d1nga
29/8/2018 08:03 | Steady but unspectacular results and as expected no mention of the SFO inquiry which still hangs over us. Can't see anything to either excite or upset the market so would expect a slight fall in the share price at open. | warranty
29/8/2018 07:59 | If one compares PFC Half year results to Wood Group's half year, PFC did better in many segments with a better execution. This should go beyond £7 today. | fuji99
29/8/2018 07:51 | Very good results and a $600 Mil.Contract win :o) Lets see if this will break £7 today. Ah' THE SHORTS !!! Well done PFC. | callmebwana
29/8/2018 07:22 | Some hefty contract wins coming through and good technical chart action, add on any decent dips Sir! Dyor as usual | ny boy
29/8/2018 07:17 | Excellent results and good management of finances with healthy order backlog with dividend policy still maintained. PFC is now ticking all positive boxes to return to its true value. | fuji99
29/8/2018 07:09 | RNS - this will surely breakout into semi 'blue sky' now | mirabeau
28/8/2018 19:12 | GLA for tomorrows Results. | callmebwana
28/8/2018 18:42 | Shorts down to 7.88% at present from 8.4% - lets see how tight those exits get !!! | wolfhound1
28/8/2018 18:26 | Well I managed to keep my nerve and not sell any shares today pre results so fingers crossed there is positive news tomorrow. I don't anticipate anything re the SFO situation but there may be some positive contract news. Good luck all for tomorrow anyway, what will be will be. | warranty
28/8/2018 16:58 | As someone mentioned on another board 680 p resistance has been tipped twice - hopefully tomorrow with an update similar to WG -sp kicks on - 3rd time is a charm and we blitz through 680p to new highs in the 700's !! A similar 10% uplift that WG had would put us in clover at around 750p Bit of short squeeze on top and who knows low/mid 800's GLA | wolfhound1
28/8/2018 14:31 | Could PFC surprise upwards the market "above expectations" tomorrow at 7.00 am ? It did well in terms of contacts win in the midst of turmoil. A resilient company it must be admitted. Will it also include a positive hint on the SFO investigation ? | fuji99
28/8/2018 10:28 | I am doing nothing at the moment Mr.5% just sitting on my hands. Just waiting for the results on the 29th. Then the Divi. SFO will have to put their house in order first. Wood Group's share price shot up on their results. They are in the same boat as PFC with SFO. I think PFC will do similarly.IMO. I also agree with your above post. Just be careful when and how you trade this. NAI. | callmebwana
28/8/2018 08:29 | I agree with Oilretire's comments and with wolfhound's comments re:reducing debt,oil price creeping up again and contracts being a positive thing. | cinquepercento |
