Wolfy I love it when a plan comes together 9.649 p dividend in the bag today and we only down 3p from yesterdays close.

The info you posted is just what I like to see just wait till November when the real sanctions hit IRAN up with PFC.

Fresh off Bloomberg - Oil rises as American Refiners,Exporters Erode Stockpiles - tomorrow may indeed be a blue day here are key points:

* inventories dropped 2mn barrels last wk, a 3 yr low
* HSH Nordbank sees oil above $80
* Demand for US oil increased whilst orders for Iranian Oil were curbed ahead of sanctions.
* Exports of US crude rose to 2.37 mn b.p.d

....... and we are now heading into 4th qtr which is high demand which is likely to push oil much higher.

Sorry bouleversee didn’t mean to confuse. Often the share dips the day prior to xd possibly to deter people from selling early. I know it sounds crazy but many seem to buy for the run up to divvy then sell immediately before to buy back lower later. A good system some say which I thought about trying but as PFC is in such a good up trend and with the director buy I decided against. Hopefully I made the right decision but we’ll see over the next week or so.

That's what I was hoping, too. Pity it's done a bit of a reversal now.

I don't follow that. I would expect it to go up today and down tomorrow but buyers today will collect the dividend, unless I have got that the wrong way round. You've got me worried now.

Don’t want to tempt fate but I expected a drop today prior to ex div tomorrow. Holding up well so far.

I think it's 9.65p at today's rate.

I've just topped up. A hasty decision which I hope I won't live to regret.

Ex div tomorrow so we can expect a pull back but let’s hope it’s only temporary and we can start pushing up again. A nice contract announcement would help.

A juicy RNS now to push it past 680p and squeeze the shorts all the way to 800p+

Chunky director buy tells its own story

Nice late Director buy around £100k seems to have lifted the share price nicely into the close. With a potential rise in the PoO, could we make a new, recent high this week?

Saudis no longer willing to stop oil going over $80 this could make things interesting.

Good day Penycae

The demo account has been working well I have now got to grips with it. Unfortunately they do not offer UK shares.

It's CFD not sbet. I was unable to find a non ESMA Rules sbet company.

Here's a link:

EDIT

CORRECTION: UK shares are offered on the MT4 platform as are a number of others.

Morning all!

bracke - sorry to have missed one of your earlier posts.
How are you finding that demo account with the Australian sb company? If it works I might have a go, as I'm not prepared to put heavy money with the bookies if I don't have to. Been buying a lot of paper lately, but it soon adds up.
I'd appreciate a link if you have time.

From Petrofac.com:-

Petrofac secures series of well engineering contracts

Petrofac has strengthened its global Well Engineering contracts portfolio following a series of award wins worth a combined value of around US$20 million.

Petrofac secured an exclusive five-year Well Operator Services contract from independent Exploration & Production company, Tailwind Energy Ltd (Tailwind), following Tailwind’s recent purchase of the Triton Cluster. Under the terms of this arrangement, Petrofac will act as Well Operator for the Gannet E, Belinda and Evelyn licence areas in the Central North Sea.

The company has also been awarded discreet Well Engineering scopes by two major International Oil Companies (IOCs) and three National Oil Companies (NOCs) for projects in Iraq, Turkey and New Zealand. These additional scopes reflect the continued global growth of Petrofac’s Well Engineering capabilities.

Alex Macdonald, Managing Director of Well Engineering, Petrofac Engineering and Production Services, said: “We’re delighted to be expanding our global service delivery as we continue to support IOCs, NOCs and new entrant Operators with outsourced Well Engineering services. As evidenced by the number of awards we’ve secured so far this year, we’ve consistently proven our delivery and execution capabilities to new and existing clients.

“Going forwards, our teams will continue to focus on safe, effective deployment of our Well Engineering activities to enable our clients to unlock maximum value from their oil and gas assets.”

PoO has given up and started to recoil from the $80 mark and staying within the $70 to $80 range without having broken through. The news you mention is all known and priced in at the moment I feel and will need something more unexpected to happen. A larger than expected drop in Venezuelan production or Iran hitting tankers in the straits of Hormuz would work, on the former though it looks like Venezuela have brought in private oil service companies to try and fix their production problem not sure how that will help them export the stuff without a decent port but its a start.

Pogue thanks for info and reply on 7th sept lets see us tickle $81 just t keep things buzzing.
Im hoping trump imposes the sanctions on Iran that will really buzz the oilys as Venezuela's struggling with transportation problems reducing oil input globally.

EIA draw on inventories of 5.296 ml bls must keep oil at least at these levels therefor helping to keep PFC on the upward trend.

A 5 day reversal within a few hours, either shorters used the dip to close some if shorts or MM have been active to fill a big order with a price cap..... intersting
