06/2/2018 11:39 | The way this is going on today, we might be getting back to the days of sub 450p by tomorrow imho. What I do find interesting is that the company fundamentals at 600p a few weeks ago hasn't changed today at 470p. The overall balance sheet is healthy, dividend will be maintained, orders are flowing through. | chelsea81
06/2/2018 11:26 | ...... but management is losing the plot I am afraid. ====== I would imagine they are bricking it......don't want to end in jail. | 11_percent
06/2/2018 11:24 | Fark me.....this is going a bit low.........good buy for the divi when it bottoms. | 11_percent
06/2/2018 11:20 | IMO that RNS did everything to express gloom and uncertainty to both, PI's and the market. Their PR in understanding the market mood, timing and content is a very poor indeed. I must say though that the company is sound and has excellent business prospects but management is losing the plot I am afraid. | fuji99
06/2/2018 11:12 | RNS was imo duplicitous, designed if anything to spook holders-the complete news blackout (?irrespective of circumstances) suggests to me things could be worse than they seem and they have been warned off making any, even remote, potentially incriminatory statements that could be mis-construed by the market. There could have been more clarity-shareholders after all have a big stake here as well so I'll hold off this for a while. aimo | cumnor
06/2/2018 11:07 | Being interviewed is hardly New news. The converse would be that the investigation is dropped | dealy
06/2/2018 10:50 | Yes the RNS was sponsored by the shorters of PFC, worst own goal ever scored! | midasx
06/2/2018 10:40 | I think it's safe to say the current drop in the share price is mainly due to the RNS release yesterday reminding us of what we already know. I have always said this share price has nothing to do with daily fluctuations in the PoO, neither does the drop in the FTSE affect this share price significantly. | chelsea81
06/2/2018 09:58 | Get out ASAP.... Ship is sinking.. | vk74
06/2/2018 09:37 | Chelsea - If the mentality is "cow-boy type", I am afraid even the divi may vanish especially if they have to pay a huge fine at the end. This is my only worry. | fuji99
06/2/2018 09:31 | That just tells you a newspaper sub-editor's agenda is eyeballs than truth! | edmondj
06/2/2018 09:06 | One good reason I invest here and in other dividend-paying shares is because of the DIVIDEND. A lot of people focus more on the daily up and down movement, rather than on the steady dividend. In some of the shares I'm invested in, the dividend paid is more than enough to compensate for the volatility in share price. PFC is a great company to invest in medium to long term, plus they haven't issued any profit warning and/or impending cancellation of dividend. The share price will continue to be volatile, no need to worry IMHO. Until the SFO finishes their investigation, let's all continue enjoying the dividend. | chelsea81
06/2/2018 08:56 | Market fear is due to forthcoming interest rate rises. Interest rate rises are due to great employment figures and booming economies around the world. Booming economies around the world = demand for oil = higher brent = more investment = good for Petrofac. ….maybe? | binarypilot
06/2/2018 08:24 | fishking1, Don't you read the news? Biggest loss on the Dow EVER last night. Everything getting slaughtered. | woodhawk
06/2/2018 08:24 | What a descent! So support at 495 to 497 did not hold and down we went. Bought more but we may be going deeper into the abyss. | cinquepercento
06/2/2018 08:06 | Batman pattern confirmed. Damn it. The chart was right. and I'm NOT a chartist ! | binarypilot
06/2/2018 08:06 | What's going on? Anybody. Somebody. | fishking1
05/2/2018 16:48 | I bought some back at 506 late morning so hoping for a bounce now | paa65
05/2/2018 16:44 | 506 is near enough for now,Naed. If support at 495 to 497 holds, then there will be some quick profits tomorrow morning. If not,we put on the lead diving weights, flippers and air tanks and follow this down. | cinquepercento
05/2/2018 16:33 | Thought I got it right at £5.06 this morning and bought another £20k worth. Still plenty of shares from £4.20. Very confident for this share, even if the next couple of weeks are up and down. There's only one direction long term | naed
05/2/2018 16:16 | I have bought it at intervals all the way down to 500 so far. | cinquepercento
05/2/2018 16:13 | Should put it on the buy button now? | naed
05/2/2018 15:54 | 495 to 497 is a critical support level now. If it breaks this support level, then it will really go down! | cinquepercento
05/2/2018 14:18 | You'll certainly know once the investigation has been concluded one way or the other. There will be RNS releases and it will be all over the press. What they are saying is that they don't expect to be saying anything more while it is going on which I do not find at all surprising. They were possibly making this statement to clarify that the enquiry is still ongoing and unconnected with the recent one about Asfari. I do wish the SFO would get on with it, though. The market is irrational. I have just seen my very pleasing gain in HZD over the past year wiped out and turned into a loss despite what seemed to me to be a very encouraging recent update. In a week's time it might be back up again, quite unrelated to any real value. | bouleversee |
