Looking at PETrel as a curious ex holder I think it interesting that CLON got the Aussi oil play and PETrel didn't.

Logically, with the directors investing big money in PETrel to buy back the Tamraz concert party shares the Directors might have wanted PETrel to get this deal.

After all PETrel is the flagship and CLON the minnow.

So it seems probable that PETrel will get something.

With just a bit of buying I am amazed how quickly the share price moves in either direction.

I don't think so - price stayed level for quite a while after the rise. At least a few holders have sold some to buy CLON.

When we finally get good news it will go ballistic due to so few shares in circulation has always been the case problem being we have been waiting 20 odd years but very possible Merjan or S&L will come back into play and maybe Ghana Tana will come good

So the recent spikes were just bull traps then, yet again.

Either or would do, to send this to the stratosphere. I wonder if the Iraqis were waiting for the Tamraz group to leave the party before considering PET? One can never tell with these inter community rivalries.

Oh dear. Desperate clutching at straws.People been sucked in by the pumpers recently with false news and false hopes....now they have to create their own fantasies to legitimise and justify their 'investment' here.Soon a random sheikh will surface and the pumpers will claim to know them and they have xxxx billions to invest here...heard it all before...

This stock has been on my radar ever since it hit £1.40p all them years ago.

They did make a £4m profit in Iraq before.

DD, I can't see a placement unless they had good reason, such as a prospect. It would be pointless otherwise

blakieboy7 - Personally as suggested a week or so ago I feel like we could be in for a further (substantial) placement and conversion of Directors debt& or fundraise at say 2p/share - that said, it may well be accompanied by a fantastic story of mythical beasts and oil flaring dragons in search of oil Iraq which could buoy the price.

Without news this is heading straight back to below 2p. Stupid of me to think the 100% rise a few weeks back was the sign of incoming news. GLA

Well either would see this share spike over the 1.60 GBP level to settle around the 10 GBP mark. So lets go boys lol. I still have a few in these although I top sliced and rolled into CLOAN with some of the profits

I also meant to mention this other 'clue' about S&L.

In the Irish Independent Dec 2019, David Horgan said:

"We have got a couple of projects that will come back to life hopefully".

At the time I assumed he was talking about Merjan and Block 6 which have always been mentioned in every Annual Report, but Block 6 has never been described as a 'project' as such.
So, I'm now thinking he was actually referring to Merjan and Subba & Luhais as they are the only 2 projects Petrel has really had in Iraq.

On next Tuesday. This might be a good forum for us to hear what's going on, contract wise, in Iraq.
