knowing - double edged sword, yes they can and do lend direct but if the banks have cheap credit from the BoE it lowers the risk of lending wholesale to the likes of PCF & IHUK etc who have lower cost bases to relend more effectively to SMEs

Banks get a good deal plus a distribution channel

The reluctance of banks loaning to SME's is good for PCF

Government stimulus should help free up credit lines for the likes of PCF given how companies like this fund the SME sector.

The offer has now moved up to 4.45 so should see this move on the next buy. So nice for the seller to offer such an opportunity.

Finals are a couple of weeks off - last year was good, expecting PCF to build on that this time round. From last year...

-- Heads of Agreement signed for the acquisition of a GBP6 million portfolio of finance receivables

PCFG's CEO Scott Maybury said,

"These results have again demonstrated the quality and durability of our business model and, in turn, our portfolio of receivables. There are some excellent opportunities available in our sector and with the aid of our new facility we intend to take full advantage of them. We expect to complete the acquisition of a GBP6 million portfolio of receivables in early July, which is a start to re-growing our portfolio of revenue earning assets and increasing our profitability. 10p a share in that case as it would be doubtful they could pay a lower price based on eps than the board of BWE did when they MBOed Bristol & West Bridging

Or... management want to do a buy out in which case they will make sure the results have lots of provisions for all sorts of things making the figures look terrible, driving the price down.

profits may out perform but even if they remain within expectations PCF could announce a dividend now new banking lines have been secured.

sol - at these prices the shares are looking better value than PCFB's

If you have faith your PCFBs will be redeemed you should take a punt on the shares at these levels. The NAV is looking like a one way bet imho

I have been a holder for many years including a significant holding in the former PCFA and current PCFB but I ask you to to explain your comment or are you simply starting a ramp as most tend to do with stocks of this type
