Hmmm. Maybe I'm clutching at straws here but ..."subject to regulatory approval, ...", ". .expected to be Q4", etc... and didn't it hinge on sale of Asia business or something like? I think I'll keep holding until either they delist and I get my guaranteed 5.90, as that's when it's 100% sure?! Or is there still a slim chance that fat lady hasn't yet sung her last song? They're still trading at below the 5.90?, so if it's 100% sure it'll happen then why not buy more for guaranteed money? Confused.

So Pays shares will continue to trade until some time after the New Year and no later than 4th April. Can't read it any other way. Can another bid be made during this time?

Just called Capita, effective date not triggered, I suppose in theory they have up until 4 April next year to trigger it - in which case, pay us the £5.90 and a dividend equivalent to c. 6 months profits!

Maybe the ii's will now actually be of some use...

What is the past experience of people on the 14 days? It is worth about £2,300 to me. Can we rely on the 14 days and not be waiting for months?

Not so sure about months, look at their table in my link:

Scheme Court Hearing

A date expected to be in the fourth quarter of 2017, subject to Regulatory and Anti-trust Approvals ("D")

Last day of dealings in and for the registration of transfers of Paysafe Shares

D+1

Suspension of dealings in Paysafe Shares

5.00 p.m. on D+1

Scheme Record Time

6.00 p.m. on D+1

Expected Effective Date of the Scheme

D+2

Cancellation of admission of and dealings in Paysafe Shares

8.00 a.m. on D+3

Latest date for despatch of cheques/settlement through CREST

Within 14 days of the Effective Date

Long Stop Date, being the latest date by which the Scheme must be implemented

4 April 2018(5)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Surely if everything hinges off 'D' , then they cannot suspend the shares today, as that event is scheduled for D +1 !!

I will lose about £200 selling what I have left now. But not sure it's worth waiting months to get hold of that £14k when it could be working somewhere else.

Ah, certainly hope not! On that basis are we entitled to a full distribution of profits as dividends from the date they cancel our shares (today)? (suspect not!).

As frustrated as everyone else to have my investment handed back on a plate... It's been a fun ride. I was in Neteller for a while a long time ago and have been in again for a few years at an ave. 251.

This was tipped by Jim Slater, whose books got me into investing, in his last column in the Telegraph (3 October 2015). Anyone who had bought on the basis of that column (327p) would have made 80% in 2 years.

Thanks to those posting comments on other shares, some of which I've been looking through. I've no Slater-esque share to offer at the moment. Am mostly in HUR, CNE, MXCP and SGI, all of which are just "seem cheap now" or possibly recovery shares rather than growth stories. Best of luck with next investments all.

From HL - It is expected that the last day for trading Paysafe Group plc Shares will be the day after the Court Hearing. The Scheme is expected to become Effective the day after the Court Hearing with the resulting cash to be credited 14 days after the Effective date.

Stockopedia give XLM which operates in the same area as PAYS,a rating of 98 out of 100 and a health trend of 7 out of 10 so I am overweight.

Scooper and Superadams. Thanks for the replies. Re shorting, no that's definitely not XLM (now my biggest play), was PAYS for a while which I think has cost us at least £2 and IQE at the moment which is being messed around with. Concerning TAP, I am not sure that the value hasn't gone out of it for the time being but I will look at how it's going. The only other share I'm in at present is IDP but not in a big way as it's pretty illiquid. It's fairly easy to find a lot of stocks that you can put a bit of cash in. The hard one is finding anything that you can feel safe being massively overweight in.
