05/7/2017 14:03 | Disappointing impact on Pays..... | nurdin
05/7/2017 13:34 | Jp just announced not interested making offer worldpay and down 7% | fishking1
05/7/2017 13:12 | Especially as Vantiv's bankers were in the market yesterday buying shares at 402p. Why sell for 385p when it is already known that 402p will be paid. | ralphmalph
05/7/2017 13:10 | There is going to be disapointment. Vantiv offer is 380p plus 5p dividend. 3.80 made up of 55p cash rest in Vantiv shares. I can see the institutions rejecting this as too low. Need JP to make a better offer. | ralphmalph
05/7/2017 12:17 | Interesting it will be a merger most likely thereby avoiding any debt burden for vantiv. A paysafe merger with eg adyen or wirecard would be most welcome, bold and inspiring. | eh9
05/7/2017 11:27 | Ft reporting that Vantiv win will be announced maybe before NY opening. Seems a bit optimistic to me. They have said valuation just over 8bill so WPG share price of cica 4.20 or a 35% premium, | ralphmalph
05/7/2017 11:10 | All the City Boys have been disclosing their holdings in Worldpay this morning. Amzing that they get to buy shedloads in the £3.20's and then the share price hits 4 quid plus on the same day. I wonder how they do it. But on a more salient point it will be interested to see if they start stake building in Pays. I was checking yesterday and over the first 5 months of the year there had actually been a small out flow from major investors, but nothing too concerning because of the strong rise in the share price it is reasonable for profits to be taken. I would imagine the Old Mutual bod has his calculator out this morning working out his xmas bonus in advance. | ralphmalph
05/7/2017 10:56 | Broker targets for UK digital payment sector are likely to rise in line with the bid multiples - PAYS unlikely to continue at a PE of 11-13 whilst WPG is being taken out at 30+ JL comment of a $10bn Market Cap just took a step closer | wolfhound1
05/7/2017 07:47 | sector gets highlighted again, another look is taken and the next potential targets are identified and positions opened. all good news imho. | longwell
05/7/2017 07:42 | Re Worldpay: According to the outfit that broke the possible takeover news: i) expected offer price 450-500p per share ii) other bidders may now also get involved, Apple Pay and PayPal being two of those mentioned. See hxxps://wallstreetwi | lomax99
05/7/2017 00:56 | PEP have just about closed their short Fund manager % short Change Date changed/created Public Equity Partners Management, L.P 0.56% ↓ -0.08% 2017-06-27 Total 0.56% | malcolmmm
04/7/2017 23:52 | Whichever one loses the bidding war may turn to PAYS. Then we'll see some fireworks. | pshevlin
04/7/2017 20:56 | FT: Worldpay merger with any of it's US rivals is very compellinghttps://ww | lomax99
04/7/2017 19:04 | Time for Joel to get cracking | eh9
04/7/2017 19:01 | Fireworks on 4th July - who would have thunk :) Will be interesting to see how US market reacts tomorrow once all traders are back at their desk to a possible bidding war between JPM and Vantiv for WPG | wolfhound1
04/7/2017 18:38 | Worth a read | slipperysidewinder
04/7/2017 17:31 | Especially if Revenues are growing at a fair clip..... | lomax99
04/7/2017 17:06 | I would be surprise if JL didn't pull the trigger ahead of interims in start august...unless pf course it gets pulled on him on the interim. Also any bid for WPG and PE multiples paid will focus minds at how cheap PAYS share price is relative to peers !! | wolfhound1
04/7/2017 16:56 | One thing that was not clear (at least to me) this morning was the press release said "interest from both Vantiv and JP Morgan". I took this to mean that JP Morgan were joint bidding for WPG. It has now been made clear that it is two separate statements of interest so WPG are in the enviable position of potentially having a bidding war. Could be a big price paid if ego's start getting involved. | ralphmalph
04/7/2017 16:08 | Should follow XLM'S example, they pay a 6% div and have risen 60% in the last few months IC TIP UPDATES: The first half of the financial year has been better than management at XLMedia (XLM) expected. Shares were up 9 per cent off the back of a strong trading update which pointed to recent acquisitions and revenue diversification as the reason for the outperformance. XLMedia has been busy diversifying its revenue streams and now receives just over half of its sales from gambling advertising - down from 70 per cent in the first half of last year. This diversification and strategic acquisitive growth is why we rate shares a buy. | malcolmmm
04/7/2017 16:04 | They need to sell it on the basis that, combined, any issued paper will re-rate. Previous guidance was the they were targeting Cos with EBITDA's of $70 - $100M, debt financing would not be an issue at that level. | lomax99
04/7/2017 16:03 | Declare a big fat divi BEFORE any takeover bid. | largeronald
04/7/2017 16:02 | Joel has been speaking of bold plans as have the two new directors (IT and Marketing). Time to be bold is now or be taken over | eh9 |
