The company is going to issue 3.6 billion shares, that will take total shares in issue to c.4.3 billion, to acquire a 51% stake in some exploration ground in Kivu - potentially one of the most dangerous areas in the DRC. The company's CEO is also one of Pathfinders two directors. It looks to me like Gasson can't raise any money in Canada for this so he's taken over Pathfinder to see if there are any mugs in the UK.

Anyone have any views on this potential deal? Plus thoughts on time until re-listing - presuming deal goes ahead? GLA

Very! Underlying deal for Rome shareholders ascribes value of .5p to PFP shares and I'd expect them to return up to double that based on the new prospects. Much will depend on the pricing of the raise linked to re-admission.

This poor Lth is underwater to the tune of 95 per cent, luckily in few thousand pounds rather than tens. Not been following closely lately but this RNS looks promising?

RNS explains Pref Shares will be issued to entitled holders in the event of a successful claim.

Did anybody get any proof of being invested in the record date. Like in the form of pref shares for the claim if successful ?

Strong relevance. They are lining up the RTO and now have ability to raise £1.5mil without any further shareholder approval. IMHO, this is a screaming buy now, especially as the share price was artificially lowered earlier this week. All the sings are lining up nicely. Seriously smart team on board, Made up of successful guys that have delivered many times before - not the usual AIM director stuff. Get ready for take off...........

Really just incorporating an earlier shareholders approval but I'd say was put to the vote at that time as providing essential flexibility ahead of RTO/Re-Admission.

Sir, Having known Peter Taylor for a number of years since being in Pathfinder, I can assure you that you have no idea what you are talking about. If it wasn't for him we would not be in the position we are in today. He inherited a gator swamp and sorted it out even with everyone, and I mean everyone against him. He may not be perfect, bit not many are but we are here because of him and if he had received the help that he should have been given instead of the flak it would have been done much quicker but no better. Unless you have first hand experience of what he went through I wouldn't comment if I were you

Getting rid of that Taylor creep is the best thing this company could do for shareholders. He should just head off back to Africa to do what he has always liked to do...

From the 1 Sep RNS, I wouldn't expect that point to be until after any claim success. At which point I'd expect Pref Shares to be issued to those that were shareholders at the Record Date in a PFP (or, more likely, the post-RTO company) subsidiary.

I had a good feeling about the new CEO and "entrepreneurial" geologist, Paul Barrett, teaming up with similar, Mark Gasson, and his statement this morning adds to my positive expectation here.
