noted that the 2008 order book is largely filled!and dividend increased.

Tony Hewitt, Executive Chairman of Parkwood Holdings, commented:

"Parkwood has had a successful six months in the period to 30 June 2007 with
good progress in both the Glendale and Parkwood Leisure divisions.

"Parkwood's performance remains in line with market expectations for the full
year when revenues are expected to exceed #100 million for the first time. Next
year's order book is already largely secured and this should result in almost
double-digit sales growth in 2008."

Was thinking that myself taffee. Does anyone else think we may end up in a marriage with TEG...or would that be a match made in the rubbish tip...I like the idea myself. Think they compliment each other.

55,000 shares bought at 110p today.

I wonder if the Chairman is buying again.

Held these shares a couple of years ago, but sold out when they seemed to be making no headway. Have always compared them to Mears group, and reckon them to be a better buy at current EPS/PE ratio. Will at long last have funds available to get back in tomorrow!

saye scheme redemption date passed. mm's knew sale pending, artificially forced down share price

now they'll force share price up a little to make a few quid.

no underlying change in company prospects for 2007, just a bit more liquidity from refinancing of debt

PFI Project Gearing is generally fixed interest against lease payments therfore the comment in the trading ststement amount increasing borrowing should be positive.

I still think it's small selling in an uncertain market. Around 45k worth of shares were traded today, included among which look to be a few buys (most of these are reported on Plus -I added around 7.3k shares myself). Yet the price is marked down 5%. As with the other recent falls, it seems an over-reaction, and one to be taken advantage of.

They've already told us trading is OK, and a resolution of the long-running Healthcare side - possible anytime - could send these back up very quickly.

I'd like to know why as well. These are down a massive 30% since their peak earlier in the year.

I actually thought the recent statement left room for a full year improvement on current estimates. It was couched in much the same terms as last year's, which was in turn followed by an 'ahead' statement for the year end.

The present price looks crazily low - but the markets are very uncertain just now and it's not uncommon to see small caps marked 5% this way or that almost on a whim.

decent update so little reason for the share price fall - i reduced at higher levels but may buy more down here - perhaps those hoping for pkw to exceed forecasts have sold up. or a case of the summer blues - those with a bit of patience will be rewarded i guess.

This market is in such a desperate state we might as well be in an economic depression.
It's not worthwhile issuing positive trading updates as the only reaction is to reduce the share price
This share is a bargain and will continue to do well in the long term, despite the market.

I hold GFRD and CAR in my ISA. Despite current housing problems, more to gfrd than that, much more and a good trading statement the other day. Car sorting itself out good style and excellent results in June

It certainly is no tip, just stating my holdings maxwellman
