08/9/2019 19:29 | pineapple, I'm laughing here as well! The £1m incomplete new build might be a wind turbine in disguise I guess lol. | bountyhunter
08/9/2019 19:23 | Another new poster on the thread eeh? And if you had ever been here before, you would know I have been long on PMG for some time (but I see you've deleted that from your post now..?) All good fun eh? | robs12

08/9/2019 17:39 | If you compare the 2016 approved site plan with the up to date 2017 you will see a radical movement of the house. The planners show the original outline of the livestock building in both plans. In 2016 ; the new build was well away from most of it. In 2017 plans the new build is right over the top; there has been a shift to the North West. Would be nice to see a historical satellite image to prove the route of that track | cyan
08/9/2019 17:23 | If you try and make the satelitte image the same size as the approved plan and take straight line measurement to the drain I measure a significant difference; a shift to the west. Also; The satellite image shows the ghostly image of the ORIGINAL track which the build now goes over. I would like a second opinion. Is that track a right of way? | cyan
08/9/2019 17:13 | Ok thanks cyan, I didn't think it looked very impressive! | bountyhunter
08/9/2019 17:08 | I think they have built to the latest plan BUT, it appears to me to be in the wrong place. I am convinced its too far west. Get your rulers out ;compare the satellite image wth the 2017 approve site plan. Its gone over the track. | cyan
08/9/2019 17:05 | I can see what you mean Typo; very different layout to the original site plan. However; click this link and look at the latest site plan;Approved site information. Looks ok | cyan
08/9/2019 16:54 | Local press taking on prominent local businessman? Hmmm? Send Arden an invite. | typo56
08/9/2019 16:50 | We are going tues morning with local press for photos Queens rd first then lunch then trip out west | chutes01
08/9/2019 16:48 | Doesn't look the same as the earlier site plans, but I guess they changed along the way. The footings were in place over a year ago, and there have been approvals since then. If the building isn't yet complete, as would be suggested by the developer sign still on site, are Parkmead going to pay for it to be completed? The internal fittings, the landscaping? Work contracted to related party Altair Construction & Development Ltd? At a fair and reasonable price as insofar as Parkmead shareholders are concerned? | typo56
08/9/2019 16:42 | Having looked at the Satellite image and the approved plans , errrrrr It appears to be in the wrong place! The build goes over the old track route. Is this what you've spotted TYPO? They appear to be many many feet too far to the west and not in conformity to the approved plan. I would like others opinion. | cyan
08/9/2019 16:32 | Scroll down to elevations and click. Do you not think what's there now is the same as the passed plans? | cyan
08/9/2019 16:23 | Thanks. That's not what's been built though. Check Google Earth. I wonder if that's a problem! | typo56
08/9/2019 16:20 | If you go on this link Typo and click on "Approved Location and site plans" You get more detail. The mansion isn't even over the old cattle shed. | cyan
08/9/2019 16:19 | I wonder if Arden are reconsidering their position as NOMAD. Why was Panmure dropped in February? If Arden were to resign as NOMAD, that would pace things up! | typo56
08/9/2019 16:16 | Here's the site of the old building Go to Google Earth to see the state at 28 June last year. grid ref: 57° 0'24.48"N 2°30'33.62"W | typo56
08/9/2019 16:12 | You can view lots of documents including the site plan in the provided. This was how the proposal was described; "Description of proposal Planning permission in principle is sought for the erection of a dwellinghouse including the demolition of the existing building at Pitreadie, Strachan, Banchory. Pitreadie is an active farm holding covering 1100acres located along a single access track which leads to a cluster of farm buildings. The proposed site is located beyond the farm cluster on the crest of a hill where a redundant farm building is located, it is constructed in stone with a corrugated iron roof. A public right of way runs north to south through the field the farm building is located within. It is proposed to replace this redundant farm building with a new build dwellinghouse." Some dwelling house | cyan
08/9/2019 16:00 | That was the site photos BEFORE the NEW build; the existing building to be demolished in the 2016 application | cyan
08/9/2019 15:58 | Just looked at the photo via the link in post 9212 above, it looks like a big concrete block shed lol! I was expecting more than that for that price. Maybe I looked at the wrong photo. | bountyhunter
08/9/2019 15:51 | click on the "HANDLING" link for the reasoning ast why this was passed.; "...the application is not considered to adversely impact upon the character/amenity of the surrounding area and the redevelopment of the site to create a dwelling is acceptable in line with current policy." What? That massive modern building on higher ground in the middle of the beautiful Scottish country side does NOT affect the "character/amenity of the surrounding area" Its a farm. Agricultural land. I know its possible to build a NECESSARY dwelling for agricultiural workers but that has resticted USE/PURPOSE covenants. Somehow I don't think that's been built for the sheepherder or the cattleman. They got permission without restrictions; pretty incredible. The arguement will be its better looking than the old livestock shed. Yes, and a dam sight bigger. | cyan
08/9/2019 15:39 | 11_percent, any chance of another scout to Pitreadie, get a few snaps? In particular, the Altair sign. I fear it may soon suffer the same fate as the Savills web link! | typo56 |
