That was the site photos BEFORE the NEW build; the existing building to be demolished in the 2016 application

Just looked at the photo via the link in post 9212 above, it looks like a big concrete block shed lol! I was expecting more than that for that price. Maybe I looked at the wrong photo.

click on the "HANDLING" link for the reasoning ast why this was passed.;

"...the application is not considered to adversely impact upon the character/amenity of the surrounding area and the redevelopment of the site to create a dwelling is acceptable in line with current
policy."

What? That massive modern building on higher ground in the middle of the beautiful Scottish country side does NOT affect the "character/amenity of the surrounding area"

Its a farm. Agricultural land. I know its possible to build a NECESSARY dwelling for agricultiural workers but that has resticted USE/PURPOSE covenants. Somehow I don't think that's been built for the sheepherder or the cattleman. They got permission without restrictions; pretty incredible.

The arguement will be its better looking than the old livestock shed. Yes, and a dam sight bigger.

11_percent, any chance of another scout to Pitreadie, get a few snaps? In particular, the Altair sign. I fear it may soon suffer the same fate as the Savills web link!

From memory it used to be the case that if you wanted to build in the country; the green belt in effect; it was next to impossible. One way was to convert old barns. Another was to knock down an existing dwelling and rebuild. However, I seem to remember planners being strict on the 'foot print'; the replacement could not have a larger area than the old property.
Oh well ; Scotland, it seems, is a bit more relaxed .

If you click on this link you can see the planning decision on the mansion and view site photos

How on Earth did the mansion get PP? Must be a lot easier Scotland than it is in England.

Did not appear they were demolishing an existing dwelling to replace with a new one.

An important ammendment to the firm apparently building the mansion; its believed to be ALTAIR CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT LIMITED (directors L Cross and K Smith),
not ANTARES PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT LIMITED which has Tom CROSS and L Cross as directors.
I have corrected my earlier post; too many Cross companies .

Good morning archie61

You make an absolutely sound observation. PMG has a sound business base; those gas assets and that is where TC should ensure time and capital is spent.

Must not go overboard, BUT; the recent deals are , imo, not in the shareholders best interest and there appears to be strange soft loans moved around ostensibly for possible renewable energy projects.

What has been uncovered are things everyone should have known about.

For example; An enormous mansion est cost £975 k is being built and the company building it ALTAIR CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT LIMITED (directors L Cross and K smith)
This was not mentioned in the RNS and I think such a significant capital project and the parties interest should have been declared.

PMG shareholders have suffered significant dilution while the likes of the CROSS's have increased their holding percentage in PMG.

PMG WAS debt free but now has taken on £3.6m of debt that matures in circa 4 years.
We do not know what interest is being paid.

We know PITREADIE FARM LIMITED lost £166k in the year to 31.7.19
What were the works on Pitreadie farm in furtherance of "the preparation for renewable energy operations." that PMG claim caused that "small" loss of £166,000?

What we know from the little accountants information is that the numbers suggested they MAY have been running out of cash to to complete the development AND service the interest on the £3.6 million.

Full accounts for the farm should be released ASAP to clarify the numbers.

Did Tom CROSS and is fellow directors REALLY see PITREADIE Farm Ltd as an outstanding must buy in the best interest of shareholders.?

Ask yourself this; how was her company going to pay the £3.6 million loans when they came due?

There is a suspicion in some minds that Tom CROSS was using PMG to bale out his wife’s property development and real estate exposure.

This board’s turning into project fear!
Pull yourself’s together. We’ve had £20m+ in the bank for 4 years now, don’t you think that might have started to disappear if he was that dodgy? This happens in business all over the place, even in companies without any revenue or assets!

Best shareholders can do is to kick the NOMAD and NEDs into action and establish the truth behind all this. I'm sure they'll be a perfectly reasonable explanation!
