04/9/2019 23:28 | No decision on GPA until spring 2020, how can it take that long to come to a conclusion on GPA? Seriously have doubts GPA is ever going to happen. PMG is becoming a permanent cash shell (with add on country shooting retreat for the boys) | tongostl
04/9/2019 22:47 | With a blocking stake of over 25% this can't get taken over unless TC agrees to the terms. To get a takeover passes you need to have 75% + under a scheme of arrangement takeover, do the maths it's impossible so it won't be sold on the cheap. The company has £30m cash if include the Faroe cash that came in post period end. as at the last results and made £2.2m profit at the half year if ur does the same again that's c.£4m for the year strip the cash that's c3x multiple for the trading business ex cash, not Many stock out there on that multiple. | busterposh2
04/9/2019 19:05 | this fallen when oil + gas secta doin cartweels that tell ya that sommat aint right it as bad as a flopy lettice leaf or a lemin with green bits furry on outside rotten innit see ya alls in 30's this tankin like a sherpa | fsawatcher
04/9/2019 18:14 | No mention in any Annual Report either Troy, so it can't be significant, can it? Scottish cricket may regard "The Parkmead Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing energy companies" as a major sponsor, but I guess that may not require a huge amount of dosh. I wonder how many other such expenses go under the radar. | typo56

04/9/2019 17:56 | drilling rig over GPA today, news may blow this out the water, shorters would be bankrupted, be careful | chutes01
04/9/2019 17:31 | The sponsorship looks to have started in 2012. I've checked all the RNS but nothing mentioned. Usually this is the sort of thing that people really like to brag about then go and help themselves at the hospitality trough. Not a mention that I've seen however. How much is cricket sponsorship costing ? I don't know but I'll continue looking ! | troy
04/9/2019 17:14 | Troy, how much has the cricket sponsorship cost? Where can you find out? | typo56
04/9/2019 16:32 | Ah. The cricket sponsorship. It's just vanity. It's not like they're in competition with Mike Ashley in the sports gear market is it ! Brand recognition at a Scotland cricket match must be zero. Parkmead what ? Who ? Another cost to the business with no discernible benefit. I can see a pattern developing. | troy
04/9/2019 16:14 | fhm, actually, I agree - although recent events leave a bad taste. I see a strong rise ahead as we get back to oil and gas news. A bit of buying coming in now. | mallorca 9
04/9/2019 16:09 | With a nearly 50% drop ver the last year, TC will be off by millions.I'm sure that's not in his planning and he will be back with updates on the O&G portfolio starting with the November results. | fhmktg
04/9/2019 16:05 | Good afternoon I thought of investing in PMG until you read that their is cross party interest, does any one rememeber Siber Energy when one of the directors bought an hotel with shareholders money, it was around 400p at the time it dropped to 25p , then bounced to around 180p , when it was sold the sharehoders were well and truly robbed, PMG is starting to smell the same. | chestnuts
04/9/2019 15:59 | Looks corrupt and the end may be near | chutes01
04/9/2019 15:40 | Yeah, I have to say I’m extremely disappointed by this acquisition. Somehow it seems like a complete misuse of company funds for the benefit of TC and his family. If it drops to around the low to mid 20’s then I might consider buying in. I think the gas assets they have will surprise people with the revenue they generate, but I think TC has just eroded a lot of trust that might have been built up. Such a shame really. PMG had the makings of becoming a really decent O&G play. L. | lazygun
04/9/2019 15:38 | Looking at the company statements I notice the retained deficit has increased from £8.2m at Dec 2010 to £40.4m at Dec 2018. I'm no accountant but I've a niggling feeling that isn't good. Not much of a value creating business to date? | typo56
04/9/2019 15:30 | Will it still be £25m in the bank? Net cash might be less than £20m, given the £3.6m debt they've just taken on? Talking of the cricket, how much has the Scottish Cricket sponsorship cost Parkmead? I see no mention of the word 'cricket' in any of the company RNS statements. Can anyone find mention of cricket in any of the annual reports? | typo56
04/9/2019 15:28 | mallorca 9 4 Sep '19 - 14:33 - 8964 of 8971 0 0 0 You also have to wonder why the non exec directors aren't buying shares. ============= Because they are in on the scam??…… | 11_percent
04/9/2019 15:26 | 40p bid..... | 11_percent
04/9/2019 15:14 | The last lines of the 29th March 2019 RNS "The Group will continue to build upon the inherent value in its existing interests with a balanced, acquisition-led growth strategy, securing opportunities that maximise long-term value for our shareholders." "Securing opportunities that maximise long-term value " TC should not be surprised that buying a loss making country estate is NOT seen as in shareholders interests or compatible with the rest of the business. When you include the line "build upon the inherent value in its existing interests " I thought adding to the gas assets or similar. | cyan
04/9/2019 15:10 | Well that's my target hit. Where next? | soulsauce
04/9/2019 15:00 | 40p to sell. Take it and run to the hills !!!! | francoismyname
04/9/2019 15:00 | Don't expect an answer to your email too soon Mallorca. He'll be at the cricket this week and be at home shortly after oiling the old shot gun as pheasant season starts on October 1st, with deer just a bit later on the 21st. | troy
04/9/2019 14:38 | At least Nat Gas pricing picking up. | mallorca 9
04/9/2019 14:37 | Didn't they show post tax profit of ~2m in the interims? If they double that in the full year, with the mcap now only a tad over 40m and 25m cash in the bank... it means it's being valued at only £15m for £4m worth of cash earnings plus its non-cash assets. Surely hard business sense will prevail over the vitriol soon. | paleje |
