Put more money in with a hope of getting some of your original stake back? Mmm, isn't that the deal which the loan note purchasers bought into?

I'd be happy to participate up to a limit of £100, but no further for me.

Some s'holders have holdings too small, it seems, to make it worth chipping in for a class-action. To those people I'm suggesting they could still help by providing a statement/affidavit about their history with Paragon, why and when they bought, and whether/how they were induced to do so by company/Manduca statements. They may not get their money back, but at least they can help nail Paragon and Manduca and/or the Nomad and stop it happening again to anyone else...

To paraphrase Mel Brooks: don't be stupid, be a smartie, come join the class-action party!

good man Fest. Let's hope it does the trick.

I also have email addresses for everyone who was in the Shareholders Association (Barry foolishly CC'd rather BCC'd one of the emails to the SA). If the lawyer takes the case I'll be mailing all those 90+ people to see if they're interested. That was early last year: doubtless some of the emails will now be defunct, but not a bad place to start...

I have also given my opening evidence to the prospective prosecutor.Things may be getting very interesting quite soon.

Let's hope it doesn't go above 10, else Clubby will run out of fingers.

Unless he's from East Anglia, he may have a few more digits!

Well my initial thought is if we could get say 50 s'holders willing to contribute £200 each, that's a £10k fighting fund (to pay court filing fees etc). But I'm sure the exact mechanics will become clear if and when we find a lawyer willing to take the case...

I would imagine many more would be more than happy to join a class action group if the individuals' cost were calculated on the size of their shareholding which I think is the normal/usual way doing this. Any thoughts?

Have now been in touch with 8 shareholders - some new, some existing contacts; 4 are definitely interested in joining a class action, 4 are 'maybe's.

Keen to hear from many more. If you think you were conned, get in touch.

Didn't say sue, just would it be a wise idea with CS involved.

Why don't you lead Beeks? :O

No one is going to sue anyone iLeeman. Don't be silly.

However the group will need a leader who is taken seriously, can unite not divide, and is articulate and less sweary!

It pains me to say it but SuperG would be the perfect person for it.

I've had a bit of an epiphany when it comes to the lower markets. Everywhere you look there are frauds and unhappy investors.

It's hard enough to build up a pot in the first place without incompetents or downright conmen taking it away.

Two new shareholders have got in touch this evening, provisionally interested in joining the class-action.

I would suggest anyone who thinks they have been conned, get in touch. This may be your best and only chance to recover any of your losses. Of course there are no guarantees: it may all come to nothing, but if it does at least we'll know we tried.

It's totally unrelated iLeeman.Deal with the issue of Manduca and his lies, together with the Nomad's appalling neglect of duty, then, if they have the gall, they could come back with some mealy-mouthed defamation claim. But, given that any award for defamation of character is based on the calibre of the person defamed.... I think Clubbie would be easily able to cover it with change from behind the sofa.

Having had page 28 pointed out I continued reading some of this Flip Book and came across this article.

Oh what might have been had there been a CEO who wasn't delusional!

Ged - if you read this, and you're a s'holder, get in touch...

westbrook.ian@googlemail.com

Might a be a class action on the horizon to try and get (some of) our money back...

No club, Vile is abusing someones kids on social media, or threatening to take a golf club to Manduca, or calling Vince some horrible names then welcoming him back with open arms when he might be of some use to you.

No, such a reactive individual is just going to destroy any action taken. A look back through the archives of this thread will give any decent defence lawyer enough ammo to sink you with.

Superg I have absolutely no time for and have stuck him back on filter (that's a real filter Clubby, not your jaber filter). He is akin to richgit (check him out on the OMI thread, posting long pompous posts when no one asked him to)

Ciao.
