The trouble with 'the guild' is that their optimism or realistic arguments against the detractors doesn't appear here in the public gaze.

JakNife, I prefer the phrase 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' but get your point.

From my perspective, most, if not all shorts will only make money if they get lucky given the arguments used to justify their short thesis are out dated and bear no relevance to the actual risks in play at Alkaid #2.

Most longs that make money will do so because they understand which risks are relevant at this stage and have taken a view on a likely outcome.

What has been in very short supply is a bear case that comes from someone with actual knowledge of oil exploration and geology.

In short, I need to be right, shorts need to be lucky. You might be yet, but I would rather not rely on something as fickle as that.
