Prolapse - classic, responding not with formally cited sources but with a meme.

Darcon schooled you yesterday. I've schooled you today. You're an amateur and a mug. Fact.

I'll now examine the, how do I best describe it, 'worst case scenario' if the 11.5m shares are in fact representative of stock sold short.

Ok, there are c.750m shares on issue. The important threshold position for short-selling reporting obligations is 0.5%. So, yes, there's a *mathematical* possibility that 4 or more institutions have opened up short positions in PANR. Because none of the institutions in this scenario has shorted >0.5% of the shares on issue then there would be no report of such short positions recorded and published by the FCA, the relevant regulator in this case.

I guess there is a mathematical possibility that 2 or 3 parties could be short PANR, all with short positions <0.5%. It can't be a single party's position, nor can it be two parties' equal-sized short positions.

The above scenarios are mathematically possible, happy to stipulate that. However, I do believe it to be extraordinarily unlikely. As we're all aware, PANR is entering a news-rich period full of binary events. Any one of at least half a dozen RNSs could, depending on success, blow a short position clean out the water. I further submit that with a production well(s) due to be drilled in the Spring/Summer, the chances of a target zero are tiny. That does not look like the environment for a couple of 0.49% short positions in my experience.

Thus, I stick by my contention there are other, more viable and logical explanations for the reported Crest stock on loan figure of c.11.5m shares. It follows, therefore, PANR shareholders would be wise to disregard any thoughts of hedge funds immediately having to buy 11.5m shares on the morning of a "success" RNS from PANR. Unlike Prolapse, I'm obliged to be consistent in my rebuttal of his conspiracy theory, so no "buy at all costs" instructions expected by me from two hedge funds short of PANR!! However, and I am dead serious about this, there could very well be some naked "buy at all costs" type institutional orders heading our way from US hedge funds/instos if/when any *successful* results from Talitha and/or Theta West are delivered from Alaska in the coming days/weeks.

Great photo and must suggest that drill is working soundly as management would NOT have approved its publication if any delay had been incurred, imho

We began the day pre-open with intothewild's prediction that we should "Expect new lows today as the sell off continues" but in typical style we end up over 5% up.

I suspect after yet another day of embarrassment on this forum intothewild has gone intothepub and sunk his face intothepints contemplating how he got himself intothemess he now finds his reputation in.

Intothewilderness now for you matey.

If anyone actually uses a spreadsheet to value PANR - it's time to upgrade your oil price assumptions quite a long way. Yes, all the way out to 2030 makes sense!

The new numbers will be extraordinary, I think, and substantially change the risk/reward balance. In other words, PANR is getting cheaper.

Predictions for first news from Talitha? Maybe not Monday, but my guess is 50/50 between next week and early the following week.
