missed your point there 'this time'. In a deflation / low interest economy surely gold is not a bad place to put some money?

Only if deflation doesn't put people off Gold.
this time it will be different

No it is far from irrelevant, and I feel yes we will.

I am expecting hgm to get back to around 125p today / early
next week then if gold firms and gets through 1350, back to
new recent hgm highs. As for paf, a move back into the early 20's
is possible very soon. And in addition I feel consolidation will start
and paf will be a target for RRS.

Will we see a proper POG rally now?

(I know that is irrelevant to you srpactive)

I'm not going anywhere and I'm not selling anything. I couldn't give a toss what the market does short-term, I'm in this for the long-term.

Are the spread-betters still with us? Lol

Quite possibly.

They paid 0.37p in 2011, 0.51p in 2012, 0p in 2013, 0.8p in 2014, 0.78p in 2015 and 0.51p in the 1H accounts. So it looks reasonable that they may announce another in the full year accounts.

Regarding the dividend situation here, am I right in thinking that a dividend of .53p was paid in December 2015, which was lower than that paid in the previous two years, when it had been about .8p. and that the company might introduce an interim dividend when appropriate and that they have stated an intention to return to a "progressive " dividend policy when warranted, which I take to mean increasing beyond the .8p of recent years?

I bought some Long Bets yesterday, and am nicely in tax free profit already.

Each to their own I guess.

Good luck to the spread betters who are trying to make a few quid on price movements. I'd much rather just buy and hold the shares and get a dividend for my trouble.

We have not had a positive trading day on paf for ten days,
we have either fallen or remained unc, ( this only being two ).

Time for the nonsense to stop, with excellent earnings on the horizon,
next month, a dividend increase possibly, solid gold price and
talk of consolidation.

I think I will be buying again come 8am.

With gold performing as it is and paf guiding that
profits will be an awful lot higher, it does make
me wonder why we have dropped from 24p to 19p.

The big boys helping Randgold buy paf on the cheap by any chance?

Consolidation will begin very soon in my honest opinion, I am
long paf by the way.
