The Ruckus deal should close on Monday. I guess that will be when we see $30 again. Maybe tomorrow is only a day away. Wicked man!

Title: ARRIS: International Professional Services

Video:

Commentary: An interesting description of part of the Arris' business (1300 staff operating in 30+ countries) that gets less coverage than the hardware products. The capabilities described, whilst applicable to HFC networks, would be applicable to all kinds of broadband infrastructure.

Summary: Gigabit speeds, wireless access and virtualised core infrastructure get a mention. Arris help operators with planning, design, implementation, traffic migration and "ultimately decommissioning" to solve problems of congestion, speed, power availability, space and cooling. They focus on network transformation, video evolution,Wi-Fi and wireless evolution, and service experience.

Commentary: A clear and well presented video with simple graphics and without distracting backgrounds. VP Richard Leather looks relaxed perched on a stool wearing a suit with an open collar, giving the appearance of a competent leader of engineers.

The multichannel.com article posted by Andyble above has been updated to include the following:

"While we believe the ITC reached the wrong decision, we will remove this feature from those offered to our subscribers while we pursue an appeal."

So hopefully the X1 product imports can continue in the meantime as they will no longer infringe.

Sunset. That damned predictive text. My most recent one was sending condolences to an acquaintance. Should have read 'I'm so sorry' but came out as 'I'm so sooty'

As previously announced, ARRIS’s agreement to acquire Brocade’s Ruckus Networks business from Broadcom was contingent on Broadcom’s closing its acquisition of Brocade. Broadcom completed that acquisition on November 17, 2017. As a result, ARRIS expects to complete the Ruckus Networks acquisition promptly following the completion of the review of the transaction by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”). The current CFIUS investigation period ends on November 30, 2017.
