If OXS succeed and it remains a big 'if', the co could well declare a special dividend to marry the damages award with the shares.

When this possibility was raised above (I recollect)
the possible difficulties in enforcing payment from
Uzbekistan were mentioned as an obstacle.

In fact as Uzbekistan is a member of the international tribunal whose judgments against members can be enforced by eg freezing of assets around the world and as Uzbekistan is keen to expand its international investment/trade illustrated by recent trade fairs etc I don't see that as an insurmountable problem.

Certainly such a special divi might assist RAB which is after all still a large OXS holder.

Here nearly 4 years (5 Jan 2012), seems like (much!) longer. Hope for settlement soon, and justice for Said.

Especially Said Ashurov, Fest. We've spent the last 5 or so years dreaming about all the money we're going to make. He's been stuck in an Uzbek jail.

I also spare a thought for you Fest, you will need a new Hobby pretty soon, what's it gonna be? Collecting old Aston DB's ? We win. Working part time at B&Q , we lose ;-)

As I approach my 6th anniversary of holding OXS, I pause to spare a thought for the current and previous employees of the company!

From Pettycash conversation with RS earlier this week.

Out of interest this is pretty much verbatim what was said about the "very near" future in the conversation I had:

I asked whether Mr Shead had used that phrase because a) We are in the median/mean time from an Arbitration Panel meeting to concluding, so basically the statement was based on past case lengths ..or b) They had been told something specific that it was going to be in the very near future..

and he said "The latter"...which I confirmed as being being b)
He also used to word "imminent"..

My comment :-

This fits with regard to what Richard would be allowed to put in a RNS.

Appears to be a buyer or two picking up stock around 4p level. May be building for a move after consolidating for awhile.

approx £21k worth just hoovered up in the last minute or so, 210k in shares at 4.00 and were some 150ks at 4.00 earlier today, so a buyer at 4.00 is about

RAB staying put for arbitration decision would be my guess, highly encouraged to see that they still hold 55m shares, latest 250k sale probably just for admin expenses.

And even if they do vote to wind up it will take months to complete, talk of them dumping 55m shares and crashing the share price is scaremongering nonsense.

If they've had the heads up from the OXS BoD re: "likely" outcome and timing of an award, then it makes no difference on their past performance.

Information is king.

Don't forget they were at one time the darlings of the City and couldn't put a foot wrong!

There are three options only for why theyve reduced by a piddly 250,000 shares only.1: they are reducing, but are strictly set at 4p, and there haven't been many trades at 4p+ for them.2: they are a cash strapped fund which is winding up in a couple of months, and the sale of 250k shares would bring them a little under £10k, which could possibly be for some corporate expenses.3: they've sold a few to trigger an rns, just to prove to PI's that they are still holding a substantial number of shares. The most likely by far is 1The least likely by far is 3.
