03/3/2004 09:07 | AO148009, Totally agree, this may well not be over yet by a long way. | tradx666
03/3/2004 09:03 | A counter bid above 32.55 would negate all acceptances except directors 2.6%. The 5% condition relates to the 18.3% acceptances. This is very early in the bid process - hold on and see what happens over the next couple of weeks or so. | a0148009
03/3/2004 09:02 | Lectern, The smart play here might be to await the final result, let the glee die down on LMC picking up ONT cheap and take a large spreadbet down on LMC, my view is that some of the larger shareholders here may not want to hold onto LMC (fully valued IMHO) paper for too long..risky, but worth a punt in my view.. Keep smiling all! BHAFC - what say you !!!?? | tradx666
03/3/2004 08:49 | Its a sad day for anyone (including myself) who sold these shares recently. | m5artin
03/3/2004 08:48 | I agree with you all guys - i have had these since they were private (just a few) and I am still not in the money at this price. Maybe I paid too much - well it was 2000. However they had gr8 expectations then. Never really became a fashionable co. - never got the rating it desrved unlike LMC which is beginning to deserve its rating but not back then. This is a gr8 deal for LMC - never owned their shares and never will!! (i'll sell into the market) Counter bid - would be nice but somehow I tink we'll be lucky if its forthcoming Lectern | lectern
03/3/2004 08:47 | Wow !! Cheap take over price but made a forture on this one. ;-)))) | pb01
03/3/2004 08:46 | I agree totally with AO148009 I hope someone will tell the FSA. If I have interpreted the offer document correctly the situation is that LMC " have " the folowing: 2.6% Directors (Confirmed without strings) 24 % Shareholders ( Altiums mates!!!!) 18.3%Shareholder ( Only if there is no better bid) 5.76%Shareholder ( Only if another bid is below 5% more than LMC's) It is not a done deal!!!! hAVE I READ uNLESS i MA WRONG HOPE HOPE SOMEONE WILL TELL TEH fsa | cubabuckley
03/3/2004 08:39 | All, Sad day - far too cheap, lets hope it wakes up some others to spring into the play...but entirely as predicted... Good luck all | tradx666
03/3/2004 08:27 | ONT trading update due I believe on 15 Mar.not a confirmed date . | mikeran
03/3/2004 08:27 | Where did they get 42,679,645 irrevocable acceptances - mostly I would suggest from Altium's cronies who took placing shares at 15p - This warrants an FSA enquiry. LMC price supported to substantiate the offer price. | a0148009
03/3/2004 08:21 | Don't understand why most trades so far today are sales?????? | buba
03/3/2004 08:20 | must be quite a shock for the yesterday and last week sellers. After ONT gathered several new contracts in 2003, and slow move in the time FTSE was falling, it can't be a bad company. The air travel industry is set to recover significantly after market recovery 2003, and with it air port, runway, supply, service ... same situation as telecom from Mar to Sept 2003, telecom test equipment, providers ... maybe it is time to review which can profit from a air travel industry's upturn. Those could move after the long hibernation. One could be AAP ... any other suggession? Heard that touching the runway will cost more is on plan, which companies could make profit from it? | tulk
03/3/2004 08:19 | Having said that it is a lousy price, it is also way above anything we have seen recently. I bought at 18p and 21p so it is hardly a loss but was I the only one who had high hopes for ONT? | barnetpeter
03/3/2004 08:15 | nothing to say excepy i'm gutted - what an awful deal for a super co. - well done LMC. Hoping for a counter bid - Ramas | ramas

03/3/2004 07:38 | This is equivalent to approx 38p prior to placing - close to the price turned down some time ago - cost of dilution expensive !!!! |Hold on for another bid or better terms. | a0148009
03/3/2004 07:27 | Can't believe that there won't be a better offer from across the pond so hold tight | cubabuckley

03/3/2004 07:13 | WOW ! I'm choking on my cornflakes ! Tuco. | tuco 1
02/3/2004 22:39 | Only 55.33m shares placed at 15p to about 15 institutions and favoured clients! Plenty more where those came from.Great place the City if you are on the inside. | a0148009
02/3/2004 22:16 | Looks like the seller dumped another 1/2 mill today - 250k soaked up by smaller trades and the other 250k bought @ 23.5p giving a 1/2p premium to the MM. Still plenty waiting to be dumped in the wings though, until trading update moves us through resistance or Company bought cheap. spud | spud |
