Yes, it does look it. 1.50 next support; thereafter 1.40. I doubt we'll get to the latter, but a chart is only as good as its effective lines of support! Meanwhile the 50/200 is fast approaching and the 100/200 can't be more than a fortnight away. 1.60 is now the new line of resistance, so maybe we need some new buyers while we offload old sellers.

A week can be a long time; I believe we started at 1.45 and have ended at about 1.63/64, which is about 12% up. More significantly we seem to have passed through two levels of resistance at 1.50 and 1.60, with the next being a £2.00, afaics; so I'm bullish for the next fortnight.
Good weekends all.

NEW YORK — Singular Genomics Systems disclosed in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday that it has received a takeover offer from Tang Capital Partners in a deal that would pay $12 per share for the sequencing technology developer.

Tang Capital made its offer through Concentra Biosciences, which it owns, and currently holds a 14.9 percent stake in Singular. The proposed transaction values Singular’s stock at a 112 percent premium to its closing stock price of $5.65 a share one week ago.

The offer comes less than a week after Singular received an acquisition proposal from Deerfield Management for $10 per share, which boosted its stock 70 percent on the Nasdaq to $9.53 per share. Deerfield owns roughly 27 percent of Singular’s shares.

During late Thursday morning trading, Singular shares were up 10 percent at $18.50.

It's been one of those remarkable opportunities to pick up a story that is clearly very much a reality, though not profit making, at, or near the bottom of an epic chart decline. Ample funding in place for next couple of years and with strategic investors well on board. Analogous to OXB earlier in the year; and I strongly believe, CWR in due course; though there needs to be something to provoke momentum, which is clearly evident here. Let's talk further about where it might go, once the share price has returned to the 2.30 area, where bM thought they were picking up a bargain almost one year ago... Pull out the three year chart and you can see we are still at the foothills.

Healthy retrace, with buying at 1.55/56 level.
Almost at your average buy-in level, Apple, so not long to wait!

Nanopore simplex corrected or duplex reads are considerably longer than the other long read platform and are of equal or higher accuracy.

Yes indeed. I think we can say 1.50 resistance well and truly behind us. Next stop £2, afaic. Maybe test some support at 1.60 first, to let out some more jaded holders?

yeah i really like the fact that ONT gets involved with researchers early on just like they did with jeff nivala for protein sequencing and now they are doing it with Daniel Kim, imo it will really pay dividends in the long term.

The co is already starting to upload video contents from Boston Calling.

Noah Bryan from Bayview Secondary School, Canada gave a particularly easy to understand lecture on water contamination testing. Should be uploaded soon.

Titled "Is the water safe to drink? The rapid test is the missing link."

Indeed. Antimicrobial resistance is set to be a story of our times. So we need not just new antibiotics, but also better targeting of pathogens. New study published in the Lancet warning of 39m extra deaths by 2050.

Re Tech update.

Many tech improvements being implemented this week [and ongoing] to coincide with Boston Calling.

Clinical day tomorrow will include updates from some of the blue chip biopharma partners who plan to address applied markets. Device use in the clinic often requires some form of certification, which can take 6 months plus, but where there is no viable alternative physicians can follow 'off label' empirical approaches.

A good example of this is the case at Guy's Hospital where for the past few years sequencing has been used to id lung infection pathogens, allowing specific antibiotics to be prescribed. This reduces AMR and additionally prevents worsening of patients condition, which may have be the case if the lab was using a culture led approach [up to a week] to id.

Apparently not. But the chart will form a bullish cross before too long, so I wouldn't discount further upward movement as we move towards October, which carries its own excitement.

Thanks for all the news flow, esp Bamboo. I am on East Coast time so just catching up. I had a limit sell at 161 just shy of the lower end of a resistance area that might stretch up to 170. My spread bet account shows a high mid of 160 but the LSE seems to show the highest trade was 158. I will move the limit up (only for 4% of position).
Ironically I think the average in-price for my entire position, adjusted for trading profits, is probably around 158.

My guess is a bunch of disappointed long time holders have stops and even, effectively, trailing stops, exaggerating the pullback from the high, along with 'traders'. Now trading 150p.

The higher up at index entry the higher the level of marginal cash that will join via Market Weighted trackers. Every little helps.

I was going to ask how long we think it'll take to break through 1.50. Maybe a day or two given Friday's rise: but market seems in a hurry to buy this back up to £2 level, which is pretty much next resistance. I think it could get there within the week.
