Hi folks

I have joined you today. OMG keeps appearing in my ShareScope value/growth screens and I cannot see any reason to continue ignoring it.

Yesterday's AGM statement provides reassurance in timing an entry.

More encouraging news from Vicon.

Todays AGM statement is very reassuring with the BOD's confidence that all is going according to plan and optimism that the FY year outcome will meet expectations.

One of OMG's growth areas is elite sports - see post 1350. Remarkable that a further £500,000 is earmarked for investment in sales and marketing initiatives during the current FY in this market segment. This appears to be a vote of confidence in the potential for Elite Sports, a relatively new and growing growth driver.

The attraction of omg, to me anyway, is that they have variety. Yotta may appear less exciting than the glamour of the end products of vicon, but I'm warming more to them, they appear to have good customer retention, and growth in recurring revenue. Too me it's a solid keeper.

From yotta Twitter. Bottom of article.

Sometimes I wonder if they gotta shotta Yotta and turned it into a special divi, what the impact on the share price would be. Rating would rise I suspect.

Thanks Games,

I have been in and out along the way. Should probably just have been in, stayed in, and enjoyed the ride. But I could say that equally about GHH, CRPR et al too. I think I might have been a better stock-picker 15-20 years ago than I am now!

I had a look at PRES in July. Will keep an eye and see if it pulls back.

Garth ... your first purchase must be doing well. I must say ta for starting this thread, my average is notably lower than the current price,

It's had the one hiccup, that camera thingy that failed, though I do remember vaguely that they still had rights/patents, probably forgotten about now.

Imeasureu looks interesting... it has been trialled at the back end of last year by a decent coach, and looks positive, in drilling down to the nitty gritty compared to the commonly used GPS.

Off topic.

As a side note, if you get a min.
Have a peek at pres. It may just be turning the corner, though not without risk, especially in the current climate. Newish boss, and a couple of directors who I'm surprised at joining such a minnow (unless they've put themselves out to pasture).

Apologies to others for off topic above.

Yes. I recently increased my stake. They aren't cheap - but risk/reward ratio looks decent and they continue to throw off cash.

There are lots of articles on the net regarding Yotta, as it is mainly gov work.

Not all are the same, fees vary, and how the council/department etc makes it's decision.

What is apparent, is that change is happening, the old incumbents, and methods are steadily getting swept aside.

Put yotta. Gov.uk into Google

Enjoy

OMG not just a leader in world tech. In Ben Hobson's 10 dividend shares for income. (Apols for formatting, but I think the message is pretty clear!)Source on II and orininally

Source: Stockopedia

The screen looks for companies with a dividend growth streak of at least four years, as well as earnings growth of at least 10% compounded over five years. Here are some of the companies that currently pass those rules:

Name Mkt Cap Forecast Yield % Dividend Gwth StreakDPS Gwth %EPS 5y growth rate %
Taylor Wimpey (LSE:TW.) 7,036 8.6 7 22.4 26.9
Oxford Metrics (LSE:OMG)140.7 2 8 20 33.1
Bioventix (LSE:BVXP) 208.8 2.3 8 19.7 17.6
Barratt Developments (LSE:BDEV) 8,215 5.8 6 9.81 19
Redrow (LSE:RDW) 2,772 5 6 9.01 26.7
MJ Gleeson (LSE:GLE) 525.7 3.9 6 7.81 30.8
Concurrent Technologies (LSE:CNC) 58.5 3.2 9 4.35 20.4
The Property Franchise (LSE:TPFG) 55 4.1 5 2.38 22.1
Jersey Electricity (LSE:JEL) 139.4 3.8 9 2.35 21.8
3i (LSE:III) 10,913 3.4 4 1.35 18

Blending consistent dividend growth and medium term, double-digit earnings growth picks up a broad range of companies. They range from large cap house builders like Taylor Wimpey (LSE:TW.), Barratt Developments (LSE:BDEV) and Redrow (LSE:RDW) to fast-growth firms like Oxford Metrics (LSE:OMG), Bioventix (LSE:BVXP), Concurrent Technologies (LSE:CNC) and The Property Franchise (LSE:TPFG).

games - that's useful - anyone have any idea how many users a typical council needs?
Yotta was loss making in FY19 but a couple more deals like this should get it over the profit line and make it a valuable business in its own right.
