If OMI had gone bust - the Anza licence would have probably sold for in excess of $5m.

So, Newmont did not risk being out bid -- and paid a measly $2m for 80%.
And they could get that back now by selling their OMI shares - so it has cost them NOTHING!

Newmont got the shares for free.

They really paid $2m for 80% of the licence.

How much did OMI pay for 100% of the licence?

Was it about $5m and then spent money on drilling?

Say a total spend of about $6m.

So Newmont get 80% for $2m
OMI keep 20% at a cost of $4m and gave Newmont a load of shares.

Newmont have to pay their own money to get the mine into production - but then OMI have to pay them back their 20% contribution.

I bought in at 12p and kept buying as it fell to 4p. When it got to 2p, I stopped and sat on my hands. So I was astonished to see it on the leader board the other day. I honestly thought it was a gonna. NM's interest has changed the ballgame for me.

100-120m cap coming imo. The market showed the regard it has for Newmont when it took GGP to 100m cap. Ggp failed and were OMI succeeded. Funded all the way to production and also paying omi.

We have to be careful looking back as the best get it wrong quite often. Some like myself only survive on the occasional big winner. EK gets very big winners.

breaktwister - I suspect a fair number of PI's, me included, bought in at between 8 and 11p after this being pumped by Cawkwell.
I only have a small % of my sum here and must admit that when it fell below 6p on the way down I couldn't see much point in selling then.
The question will be, if it gets back to our buy in price level, will we sell and run breathing a huge sigh of relief or continue through greed for more ? (as of today I'm undecided what I'll do)
