01/3/2005 14:22 | Have you been to ORBIS web page seen the dept network both here and all over Europe. Peanut price still.wdik | rhiannon
01/3/2005 14:08 | I think MLSB looks after Tyco? Hence the tree shake. I have not seen anyone else build a stake in the last six months. So alot of buying to do, for the bidder. | mrincredible
01/3/2005 14:07 | All I can say is that the security sector is feeling the pinch, the big boys are slashing their prices, so everyone else has to follow suit. The profit margins are very small but the I reckon the bubble will burst then other companies will pick up the pieces. There are two possible bidders and they are strong candidates: Tyco or Securitas......... Who will pay for Orbis at what price? DYOR. | mrincredible
01/3/2005 14:07 | just sold half my holding...other half works out at 2p | eicom 12p
01/3/2005 14:02 | You could be right gravy,But Merrills own 19% so any deal would have to be to their liking,A deal is still a long way off,But happy to hold for the time being ken | ![]() kenatbabken
01/3/2005 13:55 | ken : I think the mm's are jobbing, that's making money on the spread, i've never seen Merrills jump about so much in a stock, usually wins are the main player for doing that, dont think there's any orders in, for the mm's it buy at 8p and sell at 8.75p, so much too way trade they can (for now) keep it at these levels and make on the spread until it becomes one sided in buys or sells. Gravy | ![]() day_dreamer
01/3/2005 13:52 | DD Very true The MM,s taking a lot of shares at 8p so either a large buy in the offing or they think it could happen, bought more on the way up and not selling yet | ![]() kenatbabken
01/3/2005 13:52 | I had shares in Hartstone which had similar levels of debt next to their market-cap and got took out for a fair price. If the same was to happen with Obs you will be looking at 10-15p take out if the bidder wants to guarentee getting their prize. Gravy | ![]() day_dreamer
01/3/2005 13:51 | OBS STILL for peanuts.wdik | rhiannon
01/3/2005 13:49 | Not sure - there is a lot of debt here which would reduce the shareholders pot!! | pylon
01/3/2005 13:48 | They generate about £4 million cash per year after payment of interest. I would have thought a bid price would have to be that at least that - ie 4 times the current share price (30-40p). Orbis is still cheap in my opinion. | richardbonny
01/3/2005 13:45 | The share price suggests it could well happen as well ! Lots of companies issue bid talks and nothing comes of it. I've sold half and will let the other half which happen to be free shares now as i bought right at the bottom, very very lucky to have caught Obs so well but that's the perks of keeping bombed out quiet penny shares on your monitor and keep checking the online quotes for changes, every dog will have it's day and you have to be there to catch it ! Gravy | ![]() day_dreamer

01/3/2005 13:25 | Stop being so bitter londonmetro or i will filter you. It's not been ramped at all...the shares are in bid talks and there's not much stock around, the market cap is so low that the share price was bound to respond well to this news. If people are nervous then take your profits. Gravy | ![]() day_dreamer

01/3/2005 13:18 | It's taking off on L2. Now is this a serious share shortage or what price Obs could be taken out for...remember how low the market-cap is...so despite the rise Obs is still valued at just a million. Gravy | ![]() day_dreamer
