Level2 update,
2 on the bid and 1 on the ask. Looking good for a lot more. Tomorrow will be Orbis's first plus day for months. Lots of investors enjoy new break outs and will be after this stock tomorrow.

Larger trades are delayed and the buying has continued. Those small buys going threw are still a lot of money in terms of shares too Orbis, as the market cap is tightly held and very low. What a penny share play this one is and it already was looking really interesting @6.75p last Friday.

Yes Kamlani, you send him an email please on them since I have not. I already planned to buy OBS last Friday @6.75p since I thought it was time then, but I did not have the funds. Always gutted at not buying in enough since I had £6,500 trading limit over from Barclays which I could of used some more off.

Kind Regards
Stephen

Feels like someone's dumped a load; wonder what the price will turn out to be that they sold at. Often get good bounce-back from someone selling out of a block so got eye on it. Good luck holders.

Orbis was consolodated from 1.5p to 15p, with a year low before of 1p. Therefore the share price equals to only about 0.4p in old terms money. I think they are a very good gamble for a bounce and I went in for £1,500 worth today. I may well top up as the day goes along depending on how many buys come threw.

RL - with Merrills having pushed this down today and their recent disposal, it could well mean that they are in the process of unloading their considerable holding....

P.S. Mkt cap isn't under half a million, yet....

This is a bargain at this price. Now valued at under 0.5m, its time to bounce back since the market wont be able to cope with all the bargain hunting buys today. I see Orbis ending the day with a plus on. Looks a safe play too from their last news, despite their debt.

Amazing that the interim results are to 30 September 2004 and this is exactly the date that the precipitous fall from 12p to 4p today commenced.

Of course the interims won't be released until November but the banks who own shares and debt will know the interims and seem to have acted on that knowledge.

Talk about the FSA and a level playing field.

Market cap now only £1 million. If I take out a spread bet based on that underlying amount does it make me the new owner of Orbis?

Actually £1 million seems rather small for a company with a turnover of £40 million. Current cash flow around £8 million per annum so interest payment of about £4 million looks secure. No interest payable on the convertible preference shares I believe. And no tax as there are no profits?

Goodwill was an overpayment for an earlier aquisition and should be written off. Except that that would bust the balance sheet.

Just been having a relook at this:- Still cannot see any reason to buy - Can anyone prove me wrong:-

Term loan repayments have to start being repaid from 31st July 05. Loan is about £45M. Every 1/4% increase in base rate will increase rolled up interest by £112,500 p/a. Not sure how the repayments can be finaced from current cash flow after interest and tax as most of "loss" is on the capital account.

Assets include £60M of "goodwill" - Always very difficult to value

The £15M of Convertible preference shares are according to the accounts likely to be classified as debt (and imo rightly so under IAS 32)

Debt including the Prefs appears to be £77.8m

Clean free cash flow seems to be about £7.6M Say a 10% yield - Not imo nearly enough upside to tempt an VC.

Why did the company announce the resignation of Lisa Stone, the director of strategy, at the recent AGM?

This is what the company had to say about her:

"Lisa is a partner at HgCapital, responsible for strategy and operations.

From 1996 to 1999 she was director of strategy for LucasVarity. She currently sits on the boards of Newchurch Ltd, Global People Network Holdings plc, Remploy Limited and Tunstall Holdings Limited."

Looks like HG Capital may be walking away from this one. The share price certainly suggests so.

Be very careful with this stock.

I believe the mm's are setting a trap to try and unload stock
like they did first thing which caught a couple of unsuspecting
punters out who bought at 9.5p only to see the price crash shortly
afterwards.

Why a trap...online size quotes....sell only 12,800 at 7.68p but you
can buy 50k at 8.4p which is well under the offer price and for size.
